the first one seems to have the same patches and updates as the files in the 10.14 branch on my side. still: i would not suggest updating yet.

Hello I am currently running 10.13.6.

Now I have also upgraded VoodooI2C to 2.1.4 and the number of jumps has reduced but the issues comes also after boot and does's seems related to sleep anymore.

I am also using APCIBatteryManager.

If you need I can also upload my troubleshooting files like ACPI or Ioreg.

 

For the DA200 issue I can confirm the USB-C network adapter works only if plugged in after boot and it breaks after sleep.

Should I use USBInjectall?

By the way I have also ordered on eBay a USB 3 (non C) ethernet adapter...

Awesome stuff wmchris. For some reason when using your clover setup the native gestures aren't enabled for me whilst when I used https://github.com/soulomoon/Dell-Precision-5510-OSX clover setup the gestures were native and working. Thought it was very odd. Any idea why that would be? Just got back into hackintoshing again after a long hiatus glad to see the progress made.

Awesome that is what it was! Glad it wasn't me being stupid  The only problem I have with the native trackpad drivers now is that right click doesn't seem to do anything. The rest of it is awesome though

Anybody having problems playing back iTunes content on Mojave? From what I have read there was an extension called Shiki that handled this but now it is merged into WhateverGreen. Seems to be an HDCP issue. Whilst I could download the movies and it would work fine it would be cool to stream them like a real Mac. DRM sucks....

I will have to do some more research later in the week about this as only GVA info: Successfully connected to the Intel plugin, offline Gen75 is mentioned. Since Mojave is a new release that is most likely why... I will try shikigva=1 now but probably not that easy  

Edit: As predicted not that easy... will have to do more digging

Even downloading videos and playing them causes this.

The new CLOVER from the repo is not working, I ended up upgrading my 10.13 config, replacing the patched folder and dowloading the latest version of the WhateverGreen.kext (that replaces IntelGraphicsFixup.kext)

I just updated to 10.14.

Hmm that is odd as it is working for me. With a few issues. The fans seem to be over active and then quiet down after a while of using. The native trackpad drivers (VoodooI2C) work but the right click doesn't for me for some odd reason. And of course as mentioned above HDCP is broke for iTunes and Netflix via Safari at this point in time.

i'd double check the functionality of the repo before removing the unstable statement on two different XPS 9550 with different configurations, both worked fine. so i doubt it had something to do with the pository.

Don't worry guys, it is still too early for me to consider it an exclamation.

 

I'm playing with it since yesterday, but I think the main problem is that I'm not able to boot with the folder of the repo. I tried to play with the config.plist and the kexts, but it doesn't boot using VirtualSMC, I had to stick to FakeSMC.

 

I experienced what I suppose are the known conflicts between VoodooI2C and ACPIBatteryManager, I momentarily disabled the second one and will need to understand how to make the new battery kexts working.

 

Anyway I'll try all over and give you an update on the situation.

 

It's in fact the first time that I'm not able to start directly from the repo folder. The slide works fine with AllocFix and slide=0, so that's not part of the issue.

 

--- UPDATE ---
Sadly I'm no way near to the solution. I am stuck at a KP as soon as I remove FakeSMC and the related kexts, as well as SMCHelper64, and try to use VirtualSMC.

I would like to post the KP, but for some weird reason it logged it only when I happened to be using FakeSMC(I tried various configs and got KPs with it too), with the other configuration it is not saving it. I have no KP log of all the tries I've done with VirtualSMC (I will in case post a photo), it is a KP related to cpu with a RC2 error anyway.

It has to be I must have done something wrong, but I really have no idea what...

With the (sort of) working config that lets me in the OS I have no battery management but the rest seems to be working as of now.

EDIT: OsxAptioFix and AllocFix with slide=0 worked for me

Based on my memmap output. After calculating my slide value it was 144. Base on the error cannot relocate 0x13ed5 pages at 0x18ca4000

I tried from aptioDrv1 ,2 and, 3. Using different slide values from 143 to 148. I didn't boot. I also tried aptioFixdrv with Allocfix or OsxLowMemory. That didn't work either.

I don't why. Yesterday it booted fine once. After that it didn't

There are multiple possible issues: bios upgrade, new kexts (bigger prelinked kernel), adding new hardware...

The only thing I did was to update my BIOS to the latest. Will I face any issues by using AllowFix with OsxAptioFix. Since this was the last resort as instructed on the tutorial?

It was an upgrade, but the only kexts I have in S/L/E are the ones of VoodooPS2Controller and the audio (backup and modified - about that it was weird to see that I didn't have to patch it again, audio worked OTB)

only a bios update ;-). The .25 update was the main reason why we had this issue at first. before that noone needed any slide calculations to run OSX.

 

if it works, it works. but you can have problems with nvram and sometimes crashes on boot - but so far noone opened an issue when its running.
