I tested the Shaneee-xnu-3248.50.21-V2 Kernel:

I hope I can help you.

Thanks. Please also test Spakk's kernels, http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/310796-amd-os-x-el-capitan-1011-fx-kernel-task-force/page-51?p=2256268&do=findComment&comment=2256268

Edit: I've amended the kernel. Please test.

I installed the Spakk's new 10.11.5 Kernel, but i get the following error while booting.

So I restored all the changes and installed the Shaneee-xnu-3248.50.21-V3 Kernel and here are the results.

Now,I have corrected the errors in the sourcecode.

I've tested the first kernel, it works.

I hope that the kernel will change the icons.

The System.kext should be replaced.

The content of the Frameworks folder must be installed by merging!

add the test kernel into the folder where your main kernel is. change the kernel in example ===> kernel1, then boot manually and boats with kernel1 .... etc. This was often described here.

check first shane's kernel and reports, then you can check my kernel

Sorry Shaneee its a little late. Been on call since Friday, temperatures here have been over 90 degrees Fahrenheit which means AC emergencies and that means 16 hour days going from a van with no AC into apartments with no AC's.  Heat and fat guys don't mix.

So xsave-fpu still icon glitch, but my system speed and stability is very good. Just checked and not seeing beach ball when watching youtube videos, this would happen from time to time depending on kernel.

sysctl -a

xsave-fpu.rtf

Spakk will test yours before the end of the night.

Okay Spakk here is the second kernel, but same results. Very thankful for you trying.

The problem is obviously not in the kernel but in the graphics kexts.

Maybe a custom version of IOGraphicsFamily could do the trick?

Just thinking up aloud ... ;)

Andy welcome back :D

With some changes in the kernel (Can't remember which files) The icons change from green to a cyan. But it may well be a kext.

Someone could maybe try rolling it back with the version from Yosemite.

The problem may also be Metal.

Metal was introduced in El Capitan directly lying onto the IOAccelerator.

If the GUI uses this, that may be the problem... :D

But would it be CPU specific if it's metal? My athlon works fine.

There is ofcourse the unaligned SSSE3 bug on AMD FX CPU's.

I know this from bochs...

find out what that athlon cpu can do that the fx can't do this might take some time but i know you can do it and if it's metal or some missing code in the kernel for graphics commands i am sure you can do it
