So far I've had no problems with my MSI Radeon RX580 card, but now I'm strangely free of black screens with no access to the system. On the other hand, the screen remains black for a long time before the login screen appears.

Thanks too my brother, I know that RX580 is one of the best cards, but some colleagues bought those Chinese 2048p something like that, and in fact they are RX 470 or 480 hardware. So I bought a native Sapphire RX 580 for my pet desktop and rebooked it, a Coffe Lake i3 nuam very bad board from Asus, B360M that I bought for the children because of the pandemic. I was surprised that everything works well with the RX. As I have a cheap Chinese one that I retired, I had to flash the bios on it with the ROM from the real RX 580. But it only runs even with the CSM turned on. A "stupid" sign from Aliexpress hehehe!! Now the real and only new sealed one I found has arrived. Icons are really too big on Clover GUI. Maybe there is a parameter for UI scale !

Hi

Since Sequoia Beta 3, boot args -v do not work (Clover latest commit). So no verbose, only black before macOS login screen.

Hi @Matgen84 There is no issue here booting Beta 3 in -V with latest commit

Check your config correctly

I'm talking about commit 0b4a401. Now I build latest and check config.

 

EDIT: After checking, I continue to boot Sequoia Beta 4 from Clover latest but without verbose or apple logo only black screen. Strange ! A kext is faulty, I don't know

Hi @Matgen84 and @chris1111 dear friends. All Clover builds since 5157 have been running with -v for first install and not have issues. 

 

Now the last build its ok too.

P.S. Because the old machine broke a few days ago.

This is acidanthera action. Use FakeSMC which is fine tuned for Clover and works in latest Sequoia.

Same EFI folder content on Sonoma and Monterey on this Laptop, only config.plist differ and Clover works fine as this way on both Os with latest kexts Releases

On Laptop Dell Latitude 3510 OC launches Sequoia, not Clover (I've not tried since a long time, so it's not coz' of latest Clover Release)

This EFI work for Sequoia too with no problems. Just go. I have no problems with this.

In your config.plist, you have a CPU section:

<key>Type</key>
<string></string>

I use 0x0705 for Core i7. I don't know for others values.

VirtualSMC is no more compatible with Clover since long time. Try Fakesmc 3.5.6 (new release) from Clover repository. On my Z390 machine, I can boot smoothly Sequoia with Clover nightly 677fbb159.efi

Can you please implement DisableIoMapperMapping quirk? Otherwise Ethernet does not work when using AppleIGC.kext to driver Intel-I225 NIC.

I suppose you're talking about acidanthera/bugtracker, on which one when I search "(we do not support Clover)?" below is what I see (so which one of those 81 issues, I don't see an issue id in your post)

 

So according to you acidanthera only stopped supporting Clover on April 8, 2020, I didn't know they support Clover before that date

(we do not support Clover) doesn't mean (we don't support Clover ANYMORE)

We all agree, so why this kind of statement "VirtualSMC is no more compatible with Clover since long time", it's false (except on some "Z390 machine")

And Acidanthera never provided any support to Clover. Matge84 lacks of solid arguments.

Good morning from Brazil to all dear partners and friends. 

Far from wanting to favor one or the other, but VirtualSMC is really working in Clover. I just tested it. I prefer and only use the compiled FakeSMC, but as I also compiled SMCVirtual on my machine, I believe this helps, it is working perfectly, it boots in good time, but it is still recommended by Slice use only FakeSMC. I've read in another post where Slice says that there are many processes that FakeSMC would be better for the Hackintosh, with Clover. On the other hand, Fans' control is visible, both do a great job, but it's a shame that the teams differ in their opinions.

I only report that @Slice has recommended, several time, to use FakeSMC with Clover. This is a solid argument 😅
