As Clover.app already set-up a back-up folder onto Desktop, wouldn't be safer having the same one used by all instances in Clover build? why setting another directory for same files? and btw, all previous back-ups from EFI-BACKUP, would be ominous for current release.. But Clover Backup's can be stored in /Documents instead of /Desktop. For the moment, all the limitations of the number of backups are invalidated. It would be nice to turn them back on, if that's possible. What do you think, Bro ! Regarding the backup directory, I prefer the desktop because I don't want anything to happen in my documents. Until now, there was a limitation on the number of backups. It no longer exists. For the storage path of backups: Desktop or documents, it depends on the needs or habits of the users. I prefer user root if is it possible Edited November 10, 2020 by Matgen84 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284656-clover-general-discussion/page/983/#findComment-2743471 Share on other sites

iCanaro
I have to say that this discussion of where it backs up the EFI the Installer of Clover, I am very passionate about very little.... for a long time I do not install but I recover the iso and I take by hand the files I want to use. It has to be said that I am very happy that it installs properly on Big Sur, so we will see far fewer people complaining on forums. 2 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284656-clover-general-discussion/page/983/#findComment-2743475 Share on other sites

MacKonsti
Hi everyone, I did take the steps provided on a virgin (never installed gcc or other) system: $ git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git cd CloverBootloader ./buildme Then, I chose option 7 to build all. I am using VoodooPS2Controller.kext to get my keyboard and touchpad working. This kext packages several other kexts as plugins (VoodooInput, VoodooPS2Trackpad, ...). In OpenCore I had to load each plugin separately. In the old Clover (before 5123) I just used VoodooPS2Controller.kext and Clover automatically loads each plugin. Since the latest Clover uses OpenCore.efi for kext loading, this was not working anymore --> Clover just hangs at the OS selection screen. I have unpacked each kext now from the Plugin folder in VoodooPS2Controller.kext. I'm ready for Big Sur! 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284656-clover-general-discussion/page/983/#findComment-2743518 Share on other sites

For the update to Clover 5126, I did adjust the Quirks section of the Clover config.plist and used the same settings that are working in my Opencore setup. All kexts are updated.
