Finally i get my 7850 to work but i have one more problem

i edited the ATI7000Controller.kext to support my card

the system boot normally and i reach the white screen then i use the sleep trick (that i wrote about in (netkas.org))

in system information i find my card and the kext is loaded and it discover my monitor but when i open OpenGL extensions viewer i only get apple Software Renderer and i get apple logo.

the graphics is very bad when i open launchpad for example

what can i do to get OpenGL working

I tried using different smbios.plist the same result happen i tried Mac Pro 3,1

Well I can't do to much w/o info also because I play with the source and I have only nVidia card in my two systems.

At this moment if you go back reading some more post the "easy" way is edits your DSDT (if you use one).

Our member of the stuff Rampage Dev get that card working with DSDT edits...

I can tell you have not read this thread. Please do so before asking questions that have already been answered. My guide:

I really really hope they have fixed system freezes...

What system freezes? Don't take this the wrong way, and it's possible it's from a apple bug, but don't expect software updates to fix system configuration problems. Very rarely will a update "fix" any issues on a hackintosh, only make new issues that we need to fix :) That being said, some unknown force still compels me to install them the moment they're available :)

Exactly same here!

The "some unknown force" may be called a disease.

But, I always wanna be a patient to that SWEET disease! :)
