mi raccomando occhio alle versioni.. c'è la fermi e la kepler.. la kepler è riconosciuta nativamente da osx ed ha chip a 902mhz con 384 cuda cores.. la fermi ha 96 cuda cores..

 

prezzo, beh, 80+ circa

I would like to report an issue with Chameleon.

Its not injecting all the needed SMBIOS values which is causing issues with the App Store (and for me, SMB). Clover works perfectly though.

 

nyolc8 believes the issues are caused by the "BoardSerialNumber(MLB)" being mssing.

Enoch inject this value but (probably in a wrong length 11 char instead of 17?)

and is easy (I hope) applicable...

 

The Chameleon and also the Enoch SMBIOS injector need and huge update...

I checked the source code at the forge and Enoch does but the main trunk version does not.

 

I hope you can update the SMBIOS injector and if possible merge the changes into the main trunk too.

Ciao Fabio , credo che questo mio intervento sia un OT voluto...chiedo venia..ma vorrei capire questo problema che mi assilla da quando ho cambiato piattaforma.

In modalità legacy clover tutto sembra funzionare benissimo , mente se vado in modalità UEFI ho un problema di riavvio del pc , random ovviamente , il pc non si riavvia resta lo schermo spento mentre le ventole sono accese..devo solo resettare.

Ho chiesto a slice ....e lui asserisce che ha risolto con alcune fix nel config plist ....ho provato...ma puntualmente mi da questo noioso problema. Ovviamente con cham ed enoch non succede ...ma amo moltissimo la modalità uefi .

Parlo e capisco inglese maccheronicamente ...vuoi che ti passo il link della discussione su PF ?

Chameleon e Clover sono due sistemi diversi anche se parte di Clover deriva dai sorgenti di Chameleon….

 

Non conoscendo "tecnicamente" a fondo Clover cosa ti posso dire in linea teorica è il seguente…

(Non escludo che possano esserci degli errori ma vorrei esprimere il concetto.)

 

- Chameleon è un bootloader "legacy" ovvero legge quello che possiamo definire i driver (dal BIOS) della scheda madre su cui gira e li passa (si interfaccia) al sistema operativo.

- Clover nella versione "legacy" (credo) che faccia altrettanto.

- Clover nella versione UEFI invece ha dei sui driver (e vengono sovrascritti oppure ignorati?? non saprei)

 

(Ripeto è una spiegazione molto sommaria scritta per rendere l'idea)

Forse sarà un bug di clover .....almeno lo spero ....perché sulla vecchia asus p8z 68 non ho mai avuto questo problema ...slice pensa che sia dovuto al mio hardware ...mhmm

I'm beginner with coding but I'll help if I'll can :)

 

Another thing I noticed, putting an empty SMkey into sbios.plist results injection random value, in my opinion if we'll use an empty key would be better modifying only table header field with 0x00 value in case of Number of Null terminated string (SMBIOS_spec_DSP0134_2.7.1) so it'll result "Not Specified" in dmidecode output.

 

P.S. Any hope for more custom acpi tables loading? Especialy for me ECDT, got boot-ec key in IOReg

per Mavericks sto tentando di partire da una configurazione senza DSDT.aml (che mi porto dietro dai tempi di Leopard e che vorrei in un secondo momento riscrivere da zero). Ho imposto in o.c.b.p. di generare CStates e PStates, droppando SSDT e HPET.

Poco dopo il boot (ad esempio mentre faccio login) mi becco un KP da IntelPowerManagement. In SL/Lion e ML, mi è sempre stato sufficiente specificare i flag di generazione dei CState/PState (congiuntamente al DSDT patchato). Posso far qualcosa o devo per forza lavorare sul DSDT?

come posso far riconoscere esattamente i componenti nei riferimenti di informazioni della macchina?

in firma i dati della macchina (10.9.1).
 
Nb con Chameleon 2.2 svn questo non accadeva (non ditemi allora perchè non ho lasciato Chameleon eh...)  :drool:

Scusa posso chiederti come hai risolto? dopo aver aggiornato a 10.9.1 anche io ho il processore e la ram non riconosciuta

Allora... aggiorna il boot con Chameleon Wizard all'ultima versione ( 2283 ), riavvia, sempre con Chameleon Wizard apri il tuo file SMBios e editalo con le informazioni della tua CPU e RAM, riavvii e tutto dovrebbe funzionare.

Nb io ancora non ho risolto il problema di come vede la mia scheda grafica ( AMD Radeon HD 6xxx 1024 MB )

solo in -x mode e dopo un pò neanhce più così.

Ciao Vampirexx,

anche a me si presenta ogni tanto lo stesso problema di schermo nero con la 6670 nonostante la versione più vecchia di Enoch e lo risolvo mettedo in sleep mode con il tasto accensione poi lo riattivo da tastiera e lo schedo riprende perfettamente ;)

Tempo fa avevo una geforce 450 ma non ho voluto utilizzarla perchè avevo freeze costanti della scheda

e in oltre al boot avevo una risoluzione pessima tipo 800x600 colpa del bios vesa da quello che ho potuto leggere.

Ho optato dunque per questa scheda che in effetti funziona, ma a volte se in qualche modo prende il frambuferr che non è corretto da lo schermo nero.

 

Può essere che con il nuovo aggiornamento di Ermac prenda altre impostazioni e mi cambi il framebuffer?

Vampirexx, il mio è un desktop e non utilizzo il dsdt dato che ho aggiornato il bios a UEFI ( MB: Giagabyte P67A-D3-B3 rev. 2.0 - BIOS: UEFI V2.x_UA6 - PROC: Intel Celeron Dual-Core G530 - RAM: 8Gb DDR3 Kingson - VIDEO: Gigabyte HD 6670 (GV-R667D3-1GI) - HD: Kingston V300 3 SATA 6.0GB/s 120GB - OS: OSX 10.9.1 ) quello in firma. Onestamente non ho ancora aggiornato Enoch perché, a parte la scritta errata della scheda video nelle info ( Grafica  AMD Radeon HD 6xxx 1024 MB ), il resto è perfetto!!!

Vedrai che qualcuno molto più ferrato di me saprà come aiutarti ;)
