Wait, so what actually doesn't work? Is notebooks screen black with/without backlight or the card is not recognised? Or the system doesn't even boot up correctly with Truckers files?

It doesn't boot up correctly. It recognizes the card(I can see a few lines about it, at different stages of the boot process) and the screen doesn't go off it just doesn't changes to the GUI from the verbose text.

That's very weird. Anyway, post here your videobios and I will have a look. Maybe you have a bit different card than Trucker and need different ATI6000Controller patch.

It depends on videobios, Steve. Chameleons graphics injector doesn't work only if LVDS senseid is 7. Trucker has the same notebook with senseid=03 and he can enable the card without DSDT ;)

Well, your card is identical to Truckers one. Thus kexts from the first post should work 100%. Either you installed them wrong / for the wrong version of OS or Trucker did something wrong when patching that kexts.

Post here your original ATI6000Controller kext from your system and I will patch it for you with Truckers numbers. Thank you! I`ve attached the original ATI6000Controller, but note, I was trying to use 10.8.4_GE_ATI6000Controller from the 1#Post.

 

Please tell me what other kexts do I need to have or delete, and what else I need to do from a fresh installation!

I`ve also tried with ATISupport+AMDRadeonAccelerator+ATIFramebuffer kexts, but I still get the original problem.

My SMBIOS is MBP(8,3).

I don't know how it is possible. After I installed the system I moved every graphics kexts into a folder and the one which I uploaded here is from there. How can I get a clean one if not from my system?

That's right. But your kext has this line: 02 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 09 01 00 00 20 01 00 03. No original Apple framebuffer has this connectors layout. But Truckers modified kext from OP has it, that's why I think this is not original kext.

 

You can actually try to boot even with original kext with framebuffer which is the closest to your connectors data, maybe it will work. You can try GraphicsEnabler=Yes and ATIConfig=Elodea, for example.

2. Why don't you try the other option: DSDT + Patched ATI6000Controller.kext with 10/01 Transmitter/Encoder (Look for this line in my OP "1. Downloads ATI 6650M 2GB SubsystemVendorID: 0x1025 SubsystemID: 0x050e (DSDT patch + patched ATI6000Controller.kext)"

BTW, as you may already noticed, i wont be supporting this topic as much as i did before.

No, he doesn't have switchable graphics. Video bios dump analysis script works without problems. Usually when there is switchable graphics, it doesn't or video bios file size is 130kb instead of 65kb.

Thanks freeuser16, nice to have you here also. Obviously he is doing something wrong, i can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work if he have the same graphic card. I never tried the patched 10.8.4 my self but i can see that it has been downloaded 43/30 (DSDT/GraphicsEnabler) times and none reported as not working, so...

hmm i tested  my patched kext but i can't use it my computer restarts before apple logo
