  1. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

yea I have a HD 3650 card as well and reinstalling after 10.5.6 update worked for QE and CI and opengl, but what ive noticed now is that when you go to System Profiler and then to the graphics card section I get a kernel panic.... not really sure why, but the fix seems to be not going to graphics part
  2. i did what netkas said on his blog (http://netkas.org/?p=78) and was able to upgrade to 10.5.6 no problem. but i did loose my ATI graphics card so i had to boot into single user and uninstall the HD 3650 10.5.5 customized drivers i had isntalled.... hopefully someone will figure out that soon
  3. Has anyone else had problems using the webcam on the m1330? After a few minutes (maybe 5-10?), mine will freeze sporadically and then just stop working :-/ other than that everything seems to be working really well... thanks for everyone's help and hard work
  4. i finally figured it out, with a lot of help it seems that for some reason my hibernatemode was set to 5.... so after i set it back to 0 regular sleep works now however, on my Dell XPS m1330 deep sleep doesnt work even with pcefiv9 but that seems to be normal for my laptop, im fine with regular sleep for now thanks for all your help and hard work!!!
  5. pmset -g | grep hibernatemode hibernatemode 5 edit: i did a: sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 and now it works!!!! thanks is 0 the right mode to do?

  7. It never actually goes to sleep, when you try to go to sleep or deep sleep, it thinks about it for a minute or so then the hard drive clicks like it does right before a successful sleep and then the power led stays on and the display remains off. when it succesfully went to sleep (when i used iatkos not boot132) the power led would start to pulse and the power button would turn off. all of superhai's kexts (and the info.plist edit) seem to be done and loading correctly, i'm not sure what else to try
  8. I'm trying to get sleep working on my m1330 that I have used boot132 method on using this method http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=128274 . I have installed the Superhai kexts (tried on the boot132 partition and on the system partition) with no luck. I was able to get it to work with his kexts using the iAtkos installer but wanted a more vanilla system. has anyone who's installed using boot132 been able to get sleep working on their m1330? any help would be awesome
  9. Would all you have to do is to change the "boot" file from your MacLoader parition from the default Chameleon to the pcefiv9? cause i tried that and sleep still doesnt work i might just go back to iAtkos cause atleast sleep worked on my Dell XPS m1330 with that...
  10. is there any way to modify this method to allow it to use pcefiv9 instead of chameleon? www.netkas.org says that v9 allows deepsleep which i would love to have...
  11. Is anyone with a Nvidia graphics card (using NVinject v.2.1.0 on 10.5.5) able to get sleep working with this method? I've installed the two kexts from superhai (www.superhai.com) but I am not able to get sleep working. According the kextstat, the EHCISleepEnabler.kext is loaded and should be working properly, but My computer fails to go to sleep properly. The display turns off but it never goes to the point where the Power LED is pulsing. When it is in this state of pseudo sleep, when I press the power to wake it up, nothing happens and i am forced to hold down the power button to do a hard restart. I am on a Dell XPS m1330 with Nvidia 8400m GS card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  12. No i backed up Macintosh with Time Machine and then used the DVD boot disc to restore only that partition. Then upon rebooting and using the MacLoader to load (as per usual), i was greeted with a waiting for root error and it never loaded. Can I use Time Machine to Back Up both partitions?
  13. anyone able to get Time Machine working properly with this method?!? It backs up fine for me but leaves me with a waiting for root error when i try to restore the image....
  14. Is there anyone who has sleep working on a m1330 on 10.5.5 with the boot132 method install? Is there anything else other than getting EHCISleepEnabler.kext, editing IOUSBFamily/USBEHCI plist and getting clamshell.kext? I've EHCISleepEnabler to load correctly but when my laptop tries to sleep the power led light on the front of the laptop does not go from solid on to flashing on... and the computer never wakes from the bad sleep... anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
