Well there might be a compatibility issue(?).

Around the internet there is a list of PCIe WIFI cards for mac os, in this list you will find cards that work either with an appropriate kext or modification, or without any of the above because they use Vanilla kexts.

I bought mine from e-bay for a couple of pounds. It is similar to a wifi card found in a macbook using vanilla kexts and it works without any problem.

I would suggest you google your problem, people who face problems with wifi cards simply replace the card with another one from e-bay.

Thanks)

And what about iMessage and FaceTime?

Hello, the link at the first page for the BIOS mod takes me to "Pre install.zip" download page! Where can i find the BIOS mod and the tool to flash (which tool?)? In this link there is only the .rom file

Indeed the Bios Link is wrong - Here is the Link for the Bios. Because the link is fetched from wayback.com suggesting an old, cached version of this thread. I would suggest to inform the OP so he can fix the links incase that there was a bios update.

Hi, sorry for my bad english.

I follow guide install Yosemite for Dell N5110 i7-2670QM but when boot from USB install Yosemite on UEFI then this issue occurs. Please help me :(

Have you flashed your Bios? Have you correctly selected a the appropriate DSDT for your CPU?

Afuwin64x or afuwin.exe (depends you are on 32x or 64x)

Thanks! I already did it with Afuwin64x. But i couldn't get uefi to work... So i installed Yosemite with ##### and ##### method. At the begining i had to connect hdmi because without it my display was not showing anything. I installed an old kext for the hd3000. Now i am getting 4mb memory for the graphics and everything is slow. Can you suggest a new driver?

I think you did not set your smbios right. You don't need kext for a HD3000 smbios.plist . Apple have products which support Sandybridge processors. Make a search about intell hd3000 and smbios.

I chose correctly DSDT and model number Macbook Pro 8,2 but issuse is not fixed.

If you did you bios as well then you should start looking For kernel panic error codes. Kernel panics usually come from drivers similar to windows blue screens, the drivers are fine since manny people use them. So I suggest doing everything from start, maybe you omitted a step?

Sorry for Double posting. Using taptalk

Dalaranunion, Could you please share either your WIFI model number or link to this card in eBay?
