Don't count on getting Hyper Memory-based ATI cards (with little or no dedicated graphics memory) to work. They need special code in drivers to initalize and map system-memory to the gpu. And since there's no Mac:s with HM based cards out there you're chances are less than slim... unless you're good at coding drivers for hardware that usually only work with ATI:s own closed source drivers :/

Edit: If you happen to have a laptop with the option to increase vram directly in bios (with option to set it higher than 64mb), then it might be possible to get it to work with r9x00-drivers.

HI, I have a toshiba satellite A105 laptop with ATI SB450 controler and ATI x200m video card. I can't even intall OSX. Always "waiting for boot device?"

In vmware, I can install 10.4.6 Jas but it slow like heaven. and ATI X200M was not supported even changing resolution. Can anybody help me?

Disable USB keyboard and mouse from BIOS and it will work for you as it works for me

Just let everybody know I didn't fixed the problem by now and I did not give up yet. ;-)

Instead I built a hackintosh desktop with about 200 bucks (945GZ chipset + Pentium D 805).

But I do appreciate all responses....Yes, I still want to let my lappy run OSX. Thanks all.

Um... You do know you just replied to a five and a half month old post. If the OP hasn't fixed it by now, I'm quite sure they've given up :D

Thedopefishlives seems willing to take up the project but he needs people experienced in Mac programs to assist him,
