DJP
I don't understand why they don't produce a universal binary. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2116-itunes-5/#findComment-13698 Share on other sites
niteice
I don't understand why they don't produce a universal binary. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only people with official x86 Macs probably won't be running iTunes on them. jefffromdc
works, but it caused the spinning pinwheel thing at all times when just on the finder? it's weird, but everything still runs... i guess i'll just restart another time and see if it keeps going Edit:: it didn't do the pinwheel thing on this boot, so no problems here! bluedragon1971
The only people with official x86 Macs probably won't be running iTunes on them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They would be if they were developing plugins for iTunes, or applications that interact with iTunes. But since it works fine with Rosetta, there is no need for a UB yet. eclipxe
My iTunes performance is the same as before. It lags a bit at times when trying to edit Id3 tags or switching playlists - it pegs my CPU to 90-100% for a few secs then settles back down to 7-8% usage when playing in the background. Anyone else notice this? I'm considering disabling HyperThreading to see if it makes any difference... quixos
had problems importing 8 gigs of mp3 from my ntfs partition with v5. three times in a row it combined mp3s, scrambled them. i'd saved iTunes 4.9, so i swapped them and imported my music with no problems. then swapped them again to play them with iTunes 5.
