seems apple got rid of AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext in snow leopard and left AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext. i tried hex patching the AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext but got this:

AppleBCM5701Ethernet: 0 1659 getAdapterInfo - Device is unknown

AppleBCM5701Ethernet: 0 0 getAdapterInfo - init/sanity check of nvram failed

AppleBCM5701Ethernet: 0 0 start - getAdapterInfo failed, giving up

it still shows 1659 dev id even though i hex edited it with my id 1680

thats wher i'm stuck at now so if anybody got an idea please post

I have an IBM Thinkpad model Z61m Laptop (with Product ID #9450A36)and your instructions did not work. I entered the commands under bash, but when I rebooted I didn't get the "NETWORK DEVICES DETECTED" message and I could not get the ethernet working under the 'Networking' section under 'System Preferences'.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, my CDROM and USB are not working. I would appreciate any and all help.

Thanks in advance

UPDATE:

I reinstalled my whole system and used iDeneb 1.5.1 (OSX 10.5.7) and I got a few more things working.

So, to be specific, my CDRom, USB, Sound, Video and Mouse work. So basically I just need to get my Wireless and Wired Ethernet up.

I've been looking around, but have not found anything. My Wireless card is an Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG and my Wired Ethernet is the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit.

Anyone out there get these up and running?
