Apps that you've found that DON'T work on Snow Leopard

Glims and Stand work fine in 32-bit Safari (except Glims doesn't display its preferences page).

Transmission seems to work.

Perian works too and that's great because : VLC,Movist in ffmpeg mode and mplayer all have a purple and green video output so the only way for me to watch movies is by using Quicktime+Perian or Movist in quicktime mode.

I should add that all the above was tested on a hackintosh (q6600/msi 965mb/geforce 7600).

I also tried VLC on a imac with an amd 2600 and there it works fine.

well glims works but without the prefernces page is useless

how can you set it?

Sorry I'm a little slow to answer.Well you can always set them in Leopard and move the content of

 ~/Library/Application Support/Glims

to your new Snow Leopard installation.

that's stange since exactly this 9400m is supposed to get a h264 boost from 10.6

It probably will when it's released. Right now it is broken I'm sure. The 9400M driver is just one of many issues they have yet to iron out.

I have been singing this song for awhile now and I have yet to see any info to contradict the bad 9400M performance so others must have the same issues (or they just don't want to test it for fear of what they may find.)

My benchmarks have been uploaded to the Xbench site for all to see.

Final Cut Pro 7 :)

Seriously. Every other app in FCS3 works, except for that. If this is GM this seems like a big oversight.

(And yes, I did try removing all plugins).

Im on SL 10A421

Growl works but can't open the setting on System Preferences

Macfuse doesn't work

Growl system preference works fine.

Glims RC1b20 works with 32-bit Safari/Webkit:

Final Cut Pro 7 now decided to work without any intervention. Odd, but a pleasant surprise.

Sound Menu 1.5.1 doesn't load. Another Menu Cracker item that hasn't been updated since 2007. I sent an e-mail to the developer, but I don't have much hope of seeing it updated.

I have found that my Address Book has stopped syncing with Exchange. Also, what't with the big Question Mark at the top of the program windows that when clicked say Item not found?

Normally this means you used xslimmer or simillar and deleted the needed binaries. If you delete the PPC binary, from a non-universal app, then it leaves no binaries. You are basically clicking on an empty shell.

Thanks for the tip...I hadn't thought of that... I guess this will help with Quicksilver prefs also?

EDIT: Nice blog stellarolla. I like your collection of 64bit kexts and as for Quake, I haven't played that in years :thumbsup_anim:
