I am using Apple RAID, and I'm having trouble booting after updating to 10.7.3.

 

It seems like it can't find my root partition. If I restore back to 10.7.2 with Time Machine it works fine.

 

Anyone else with a RAID tried updating?

I download OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client).

Apply as usual. After reboot i replace AppleHDA.kext with 10.6.7 one. All went perfect!

I think even software update is forcing combo updates now even if 10.7.2 is installed ...

For me, Software Update says I have the latest version (11D50). So this 11D50b is only available with Combo Update?

PROBLEM:

I lost PSTATE stepping with 10.7.3 (C2D, multi 6...10). Multiplier stays fixed 10* , doesnt matter if cpu has load or not ?!

In the past ( i guess 10.7.1) there was also an problem with stepping, but opposite was stayying at 6*)

Must to do with new 10.7.3 AppleIntelCPU.... .kext

 

( I tested this with the MSR DUMPER (legacy version) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=258612

No, because that patch is only for some mainboards. i went back to 10.7.2 AppleIntelCPu - but no help.

Then i removes new HWSensor Fakesmc + IntelThermal Plugin und use the other one with IntelCPU Monitor = stepping worked again.

So you are using the 10.7.3 vanilla IACPUPM kext and went back to the FakeSMC just prior to the updated one? ALso went back to the prior intel thermo and CPU monitor?

 

Something in the new FakeSMC and plugin may need some modification with 10.7.3?

My case was that I have the kernel in my Extra folder, named taptun, I moved that to / and named it mach_kernel.

 

Now is all OK,
