Rosetta and Driver Upgrades; New Build is Leaked

We've received unconfirmed reports concerning a few interesting new toys under the hood of OSx86 10.4.3, including a vastly improved Rosetta and brand new ATI drivers - each far more complete than in previous builds.

 

First, the Rosetta emulation platform in 10.4.3 build 8F1111A has been upgraded to feature full G4 support, including Altivec. This not only adds a new layer of compatibility to Rosetta, but also improved speed for Altivec-equipped applications. This upgrade is reportedly available as a small downloadable update to build 8F1111.

 

Also, new ATI drivers available in 10.4.3 seem to offer much greater support for PC ATI graphics chipsets. Preliminary reports indicate that they may support most of the 9000 line, and parts of the X series, including mobile chipsets. Apparently NVIDIA systems have not been given this treatment. Is this discrepancy simply due to the pace of driver porting at Apple, or will ATI graphics hold a special place in the Mactel world?

 

On a side note, the weekend brought a newly leaked copy of OSx86 10.4.3 build 8F1111, the most recent seed from Apple. This seed, with its universal binary of iTunes, is a newer version than the build which was recently cracked.

I know you are thinking I'll not bother there are plenty of others or it was slow for me too, buts thats the point if we share then everone gets it and next time hopefully it will be better for you.

back to the topic: does the new build have even better ati drivers? widescreen support would be nice, certainly for all those using a laptop with osx

People, stop asking for link to the torrents. Links are not permitted. Figure out yourself how to find the torrent...

 

Installed F111 on top of 1099. My Xbench drop about 30 points. All the things that went down were the graphics stuff (Quarts, OpenGL, etc). Using a D915 with the standard GMA900 graphics adapter.

it is necessary to find distinctions between 8F1099 and 8F1111

create an empty writable dmg file in DiskUtility

copy in it only those files which differ from old release

Есть два пути:

1) Есть такая прога - PPF-O-MATIC v3.0 (http://www.paradogs.com/pdx_ppf3.htm) - она сравнивает 2 бинарника и создает файл с различиями между ними. Так вот попробуй создать ppf файл между 8F1099 и 8F1111 исошниками, напиши чего получилось

 

2) просто тупо вручную смонтировать оба исошника под рабочей макосиной и посмотреть чего у них отличается, и вот токо эти отличия скопировать в отдельную папку а дальше или эту папку зазиповать или создать в дискутиле записываемый dmg, смонтировать его и залить эту папку на него

 

А зря ты не хочешь на руборде постить - там хотя бы все по русски пишут и все тебя понимают, а то тут пока переведешь с нашенского на ихненский (особенно сложные фразы)....

 

Слушай а ты можешь зарезать dmg файл 8F1111 (именно dmg который качнул, еще не конвертанутый) на болванку и заслать почтой мне или отдать моей сестре (она в москве живет) - не забесплатно ясень пень.

Если можешь напиши в ПМ я тебе дам свой адрес или ты мне дашь свои координаты, чтобы вам с сеструхой состыковаться.

Hi

 

Trying 8F1111 build with oah 10.4.3 patch. Can't figure how in TransMac and UltraISO,, made a few non bootable iso's in the past.

I can covert the dmg to iso. But can't add file in Transmac. If i delete and copy in UltraISo always end up with non bootable iso. ( As image size changes) Do i have to create a new image in transmac to edit the /usr/libexec/xxx dir .

 

Any walk through appreciated.

How do you make this 8f1111 release work? I've tried maxxuss dvd-iso patch but the result does not boot natively nor does it boot in vmware. In both cases it reboots just before I can see output of the bootloader. So I guess the patch doesn't apply correct against the 8f1111 iso-image.

 

The 8f1099 release works fine with maxxuss patches here.

 

I've got a SSE2 Athlon64. Any tips?

Yeah, I just applied the patches and tried to boot from the DVD. I get the same thing where it reboots before I can see the output.

Tomato sucks. It sometimes screws up hash checking.

 

Try the latest Bits on Wheels at bitsonwheels.com

 

Bits on Wheels is pretty good but is ppc only atm and closed source. I'd recommend using Transmission (http://transmission.m0k.org/) since it is ppc and intel, uses very little CPU (unlike the Tomato CPU hog), and is very reliable (brought to you by the makers of Handbrake). Plus it's open source, unlike Bits on Wheels.

Would a 10.4.1 updated to 10.4.3 jive with this iTunes unibin or does it need 8F1111A? Anyword on how different cracking this build will be to the prev 10.4.3 build spliced? Def got my attention.

 

yes i can confirm that. itunes x86 works with this setup and is 5-6 times faster while importing, than ppc emulated.
