~pcwiz
Its weird sometimes when I try to view a topic an error comes up (screen attached). It goes away after a day or so but why am I getting these? Anyone else getting this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91356-nsurlerrordomain-errors-when-viewing-topics/ Share on other sites

socal swimmer
I get those too! safari 3.0, on 10.5, on hackintosh. Not sure if it happens on other browsers/platforms/OSes. ~pcwiz
Yeah its weird...I haven't seen this on other platforms and it doesn't happen often so its not a major problem but still... Sabr
You only get it when browsing this site? Strange that it's asking you to report the bug to Apple, if you're saying it's InsanelyMac related... Suhail
Nope there are no errors in any other browsers, I think these errors are related on how Safari works in terms of Webkit, I don't think there is anything we can do about it. mac_cute
I hardly use Safari, just Firefox...But about this error,I am going to check if it occurs and how often... stroke
It's webkit (NSURLErrorDomain is a Cocoa global which tells if there was some sort of error with the system when loading a web page), so in that case it's only related to Safari. ~pcwiz
I think I know why...Apple is secretly shutting down access to more and more InsanelyMac pages with each Safari update Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91356-nsurlerrordomain-errors-when-viewing-topics/#findComment-653269 Share on other sites
ComplexMind
As far as I can see this problem is a bug in Safari and its related to the way our servers send pre-compressed content to browsers to try and make page loads faster. We enabled this option when the site was moved to the new cluster but it looks like it's not working perfectly with Safari. I'll have a look at disabling gzip compression for safari users tomorrow when I'm back at work, and update this thread. M. Suhail
Although with Gzip compression disabled it will make the site load a bit longer. But you shouldn't notice much difference Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91356-nsurlerrordomain-errors-when-viewing-topics/#findComment-654877 Share on other sites
