ibaniban
Hey Dudes I installed Zephyroth's 10.5.2 AMD install on my computer & it works perfectly so far!!1 Graphics card works and has CI/QE support LAN and internet are working fine On board AC'97 sound works [not Creative Audigy 2] Dual booting XP and Leopard [dual boot screen at startup automatically worked] Detects USB mouse n keyboard, iPod etc fine. iTunes, Firefox, Guitar pro, Adium and a bunch of other apps are working fine. Anything else I should try out? All my hardware worked without tweaking or problems just by using included drivers in Zephyroth's installer. [specs are in sig] ToH kernel SSE3 9.2 Nforce 2/3/4/5 Chipset driver AC'97 sound drivers NVinject kext 0.2.0 + 256mb NVIDIA graphic driver EFI v8 MBR boot-loader [and one other thing, I can't remember] I ran into a few probs installing the thing. [black screen at startup, some weird boot error etc] So, if anyone with similar specs is having troubles just ask and i might be able to help you out. Anyway thanks heaps to everyone who helped make this release, it's awesome! Also, hit me up with any questions if you wanna. jed717ph
dude, hi.. i think i don't have the same specs, but did you use GUID? or nah? im new to this leopard thing. but i know tiger installations. leopard is kinda scary. the MBR thing... im fearing that my hd will not be bootable. anyway, in this pc, u think zephyroth 10.5.2 will work? -AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ -1.25GB DDR2 SDRAM -Inno3D GeForce 7300GT 256mb -Biostar Mainboard (it kinda works) nForce 4 chipset -80GB IDE partitioned. i had my osx tiger installed on a 25gb partition. you think it will work? Hey There's no reason why it shouldn't work on your specs.. from what i know. I used MBR, Im not really sure what either GUID or MBR is.. haha... please inform me. I really don't think there is too much that could go wrong, just backup your stuff if you can incase anything does go wrong. We seem to have similar enough hardware to use the same Drivers and things when u install - 256mb gfx, Nforce 4 motherboard, AMD X2 series. You should no doubt at least just give it a try. Im confident it will work fine. In my experience be sure to install both 10.5.2 nVidia Kexts + NVinject 256mb when it comes to gfx & Nforce 2/3/4/5 Chipset driver for your chipset to avoid any problems that i encountered. My exact drivers and kexts i used are in my first post. Hope it all works out. tell me what happens. I just installed the nVinject drivers, and have the same problem. It appears I'm stuck at the moment.. Nothing ever displays when I boot up. Ron Overdrive
10.5.2 Rev2 installed smoothly on my Asus A7T-X1 laptop. Video working with NVInjectGO at install, Wifi and LAN working 100%, RAM recognizes as DDR2 333, audio doesn't work (similar chipset to the W3J), and USB does not work when devices aren't attached before boot up. I've tried using a patched IOUSBFamily.kext, but that didn't fix the USB issue. CPU: AMD Turion64 X2 TL-56 1.8ghz dual core RAM: 2 gb DDR2 667 HD: 160GB Hitatchi Sata DVD SuperMulit (Sata?)
