  1. [GUIDE] OS X Lion on Intel D945GCLF2 Atom 330

Strike that. It really was the ethernet driver. Just download the latest one (linked previously in this thread) and install it after the installer script runs, before you reboot. 10.7.3 works great with this installer.
  2. [GUIDE] OS X Lion on Intel D945GCLF2 Atom 330

I got 10.7.3 from the App Store, and after install, and running the install script, I'm getting stuck with the waiting for root drive, I suspect it's looking for the wrong UUID... Where do I edit that?
  3. MSI H61M-E23 Install

Hey guys.. I just picked up this very cheap board at Fry's, and a Quad Core i5 to run in it. I've been hackintoshing for 3 years now, usually running barely compatible boards, so I'm pretty familiar with the process. I've never built a custom DSDT myself before, but it looks like I'll be doing that now. I started this thread as a place for people with the same board to work together. I'll keep it up to date with my progress. I'm not looking for naysayers who think I should swap the board for one that's got a guide already written for it, this is the board I bought, I would like to make it work. If I do, I'll publish details on how. If anyone has suggestions on what I can do to improve my success with this board, I'm definitely interested.
  4. Unable to use ATI X1300 driver :(

Did you try plugging in an external monitor? If that does the trick, look up the paperclip trick.
  5. I have this board, I'm having trouble with the DSDT, I can't get it to power off or reboot. I can't get it to sleep, and I even seem to have some trouble with the PCI slots, as I have an SB Live in one of the slots that I can't get to fire up. I used the automated DSDT patcher app, but all it seems to have done is stopped the CMOS resetting itself after each boot. I'm running 10.6.6..
  6. Quick Question about the Intel Atom and 10.6.6

There's also a way of patching the EFI layer so that you can just run a vanilla kernel. The EFI simply fools the kernel into thinking it's a different CPU. That's how the Dell Mini crowd has done it since that problem first appeared.
  7. 10.6.6 is out

I tried the pmVersion trick.. Didn't do anything for my kernel panic problem. I booted off the Snow Leopard disk (thumb drive, actually), loaded up terminal, went to my Extra directory, delected the kext cache, and the SleepEnabler.kext, rebooted and it's all good now. Strangely enough, sleep still works, wakes up just fine. Guess I'm all set. As for the AppStore, it works just fine for me, bought a free app, it downloaded and and installed and runs, no complaints.
  8. 10.6.6 is out

Same here, just did the update, now it kernel panics over the SleepEnabler kext, says version mismatch between kernel and power management. So much for the "This version of sleep enabler should work for all future versions." patch.. Gunna need a patched SleepEnabler for 10.6.6 before I can use that machine again. (I run in 64bit, if that matters)
  9. 10.6.6 is out

Anyone make the leap into 10.6.6 yet? I hate to do it without someone else trying first. I'm at 10.6.5 right now, as I remember it, the upgrade from 10.6.4 to 10.6.5 was flawless, but I just wanted to be sure..
  10. Yes, it was with one of Ridgeline's DSDT's.. I guess I should have run kextutil and repaired permissions.. Ooops.. Stupid me, I ran ridgeline's install program, which has ALWAYS failed on me, and go figure, it failed again, now it's not booting. I get a kernel panic.. You'd think that bug would have been fixed by now. Update: Tried something different this time.. I ran the MyHack installer.. Rebooted and everything is golden. Boots up very fast now, sleeps properly, and sound is working again.
  11. I updated to 10.6.5 this evening. Install went great. Boot time is GREATLY extended after the update. Lost sound, as others have noted. Lost the ability to sleep as well.
  12. Under $800? Shoot, I could do it for under $700!... Better graphics and has DVD too..
  13. Foxconn NT510 Nettop

This seems like a worthy machine to run OSX on. It's got a dual core Atom at 1.66GHz, GMA 3150 graphics (there's a Macbook with that, right?), ALC888 sound. It uses a 2.5" SATA hard drive, can take up to 4gb ram (officially claims 2gb, but it'll take 4), it's a 64bit CPU. I've got one in the mail to me. I know there are some tricks needed to get around the Atom CPU. Anyone else got one of these things? I did a quick search, doesn't sound like anyone has mentioned it.
  14. If you're going to be an {censored} about it, you're not likely to get any help at all.
  15. I thought IPv6 was vaporware.
