I have a Dlink DWL-G510 rev B (Atheros AR5005G 802.11abg 168c 001a). I was able to get this working out of the box when I installed iDeneb v1 and selected the Atheros WiFi adapter during custom install.

Hope this helps.

If anyone needs the install package...here it is!

Atheros.pkg.zip for wireless.

Ah I got some news about the AR5416 mini-pci card I ordered.

It fully works out of the box on both the original dvd with boot 132 and any distro.

It gets recognised as an airport extreme with firmware 1.4.4.

The card was taken from a defective airport extreme, see here: http://www.vonwentzel.net/ABS/Dissection-E...me-n/index.html

Driver wise it's identical from the pci-e in the macbook pro one at work.

Gooed thing is it uses 300n and is tatally stable, I've been using it for a month now.

All my research paid of.

So if you want 300n speeds or an original apple card to be sure to work in your laptop get this one, they can be found for 40 USD at ebay.

I'll provide any screenshots if needed.

A little background first:

System: iATKOS v4i (10.5.4) on

Acer Aspire 4720z laptop

I am dual booting with Vista with no problems. I have the sound working and power management is working correctly. The built-in Ethernet does not work under OSX and neither does the built-in Atheros 5007EG. The wireless is what brings me to my question. I just purchased a MacSense WUA-880 wireless usb adapter for Mac/PC. It works with no issues on my Hackintosh laptop. It is an Atheros 5007UG chipset. So my question is this: Is there any way to modify the driver for the USB adapter to have it see and initialize the pci-e 5007EG?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
