this error is a xcode bug!

it asks for your root password...

edit the run script and remove all "sudo" -> try to build

or

logout and login with your root account and build the project

nop

the sudo is needed to run commands as root

this is a os x 10.5 bug

the only way to skip this is to build iwi2200.xcodeproj as root

iwi3945 users

try the same procedure to build iwi3945.dmg

Alright got it!!! here it is let me know if it works everybody k. Thanks Jalavoui!

did you try to install it?

if it works for you i'll add it to the svn tree

iwi3945 svn

Hey all,

Just got my box and dev environment rebuilt. I'll get the 2200 dmg up on the google site. And, I'll grab the latest 3945 of Jalavouis to build and pass out for testing now too.

Furman Build is now at:

http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/downloads/list

r782 for those who can't build it:

iwi3945r782.kext.zip

networkSelector782.zip

782 syslogs (3945)

Booted -x, fired up driver. got the network message: "goto system preferences -> networks and press apply if you keep seeing this"

fixed it. got a bunch of errors I haven't seen before: Jalavoui's been busy :(

Normal boot, used the kext from inside the build (manually build) instead dmg, no kp, no freezes, did 3 logs, on manual load and hardware shutdown, during shutdown and after hardware turn on, seems the card wants to continue working even with the hardware shutdown... :D

Just scans channel 1...

Here is a line from my system.txt which picks up my internet signal...

I can't upload my system.txt for some reason... :S

Hey All,

Can someone on 10.5 dl this and install it? It's a dmg build of 782. Please let me know if it works. You will still get all of the same errors as the kext for 782, I'm just ironing out some bugs with my xcode so I can upload dmg's going forward.

Thanks.

iwi3945 rel 783

this is a very hacked version

the driver is getting crazy - wants to work no matter what

if i just manage to make it start without errors...

mlazy,

you have a problem building iwi3945.pkg - this is why dmg fails

can you put iwi2200.dmg 10.4 in downloads? it's rel 779 (copy from svn)

i already fix the link in main page for 10.5

Why is en4??

I quit all the adapters except network one (en0), make it as config default, restart, and then load the kext...

testing_network.tiff

Hey Jalavoui and mlazy, will have to take that .dmg file down. I lied about it working 100%. After install it wouldn't load for some reason and so i manually loaded it and rebooted and then tried to turn it on and crashed.. Ran in -s and got a KP. Will upload a pic when i get home because no camera with me. I had to revert back to older driver to get it to work again. Whats weird is older driver works with new nsGUI so i can still connect with my hidden SSID. Weird huh.

Sorry for this guys.

i think i'll build a version just for your card

your card seems to auto calls the scan function!

this is the right behaviour - maybe i'm wasting my time trying to hack it

can you test it?

wait...

ok done

iwi3945 rel 784

only need to run it 2/3 minutes

try to get initial start log lines from system.log
