iwi3945 rel 788

if you get errors try to press the switch off/on

if the scan functions works you will get scan_complete in logs

i'm note shore if this:

iwl_scan((struct iwl3945_priv*)get_my_priv());

will no give a kp - hope not

i'm following the linux log - it will work

just try reboots, etc to see if the driver works without errors

Loaded new kext and it loaded successfully. Can see en1 'ethernet' in network settings. Can also see the correct mac for the card but that is as far as I get ....... Networkselector loads but does nothing when using the menu ....

en1: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

ether 00:18:d4:52:6c:52

media: autoselect status: inactive

supported media: autoselect

hi,all.

788,nothing new in Network Settings...

then I loaded the kext manually,i got this:

Missing dependencies:

{

"com.apple.iokit.IO80211Family" =

"A valid compatible version of this dependency cannot be found"

}

dose someone can tell me why?

788 logs:

788syslog.txt

Very intersting changes here.

looks like it's trying to fire up a scan here:

Apr 22 11:48:41 Sony kernel[0]: error iwl3945: U iwl3945_mac_open Wait START_ALIVE Condition: 122ms left

Then, after I turn the card off, then on again via killswitch, I get:

Jalavoui, what are these timer events about:

BTW: Very stable kext, no KP's yet.

The good part comes from here:

add more debug msgs - if you like compare to the linux log i've posted

driver status

need to get rid of inital driver start bugs

the timers are a hack for mac os x - hope they work some day

you're guys are getting pros reading logs :)

deam another bug

wait...

iwi3945 rel 791

this one is ok

waiting for logs

Hey Jalavoui,Immediate KP when scan starts: (driver loads first)

post-104181-1208883246_thumb.jpg

horrible picture I know..

don't use this dmgit as no files to installyou only get an old version for testing using thismlazy can you upload iwi3945.pkg instead?don't touch netwrokselector - it's disabled

Jalavoui, I've got files in the dmg. (verified with others on the board too.)

Anyway, here's the pkg:iwi3945r791installer.zip

try boot with -x or some reboots

i need last lines of kp to fix it

maybe the driver wants to associate to some network

the pkg you post as no files to install

this means that when you build it there's no files inside the iwi3945/applications and iwi3945/system/library/extensions folder

try boot with -x or some rebootsi need last lines of kp to fix itmaybe the driver wants to associate to some network

that was -x booted. I'll go do it again and take a better picture.

Jalavoui, I tried again. Driver loads, can starts and the last line panic is:

Rx_scan_start_notif Scan Start: 48 [892.11a] (TSF: 0x00000000:0007A82E) – 1 (beacon timer 67119058)

It panics before the log is writen. here's the log I got. It shows about 5 lines of scan setup and then the final line fom above on screen. So, about 5 lines get clipped before they can write out to the log by the kp.

791.txt

Jalavoui, when I build, I get errors uness I've moved the files into those folders. So, I move them, then run your package script. Can someone with 10.5 download the pkg, and look inside it with pacifist? I see files in there...

post-104181-1208885000_thumb.png

better post iwi3945.kextwe have enought bugs hereneed help to find out why the driver gets a kp

Here's 791 kext again:iwi3945r791.kext.zip

Jalavoui, it shoots about 50 lines or so that don't get logged (on screen only) What am I loking for in the lines? (some are blocked by KP icon)
