AND, 1 more Question: based onthe log below, it sees my channel 1 base station, outlines some specs on it, then kind of panics while trying to associate?

fix for: "APs don't scan"

all previous logs shows that the driver isn't scanning

all logs show errors on starttup

the bug is in driver first load

try kextload to get initial log lines

need to fix this first for the scan to work

Here is my 1st 792 log

It also sees my AP

P.S. I dont know why my log file is so big, and it froze while unloading, will keep testing.

792log.txt

iwi3945 driver status

while you keep getting errors on driver first load it will never work

help by looking at the code and try to fix

rel 793 is the latest source code

i'll wait for someone to fix the code

good luck

Here is log from 793...

Jalavoui, could you please give us more information about the init errors you talk about ??? May we help ????

The card seems to get data and the application read the data.... so it's working... :(

we are going step by step.... but we have done a long way...

Let's move on......

systemlog_793.txt

First of all a big HURRA! to Javalui, he is coding a card he doesnt own and recoding with our horrible logs :censored2: you are the hero of most of us!.

This last version has no errors on manual load and just load fine on reboot till it finds a Ucode error, then the card goes crazy and byebye code...

Im very impressed cause now i dont find ANY error on manual load, just the danm Ucode error on boot.

I have taken a log from boot without the RF turn on, i used the kill switch and i found that if the card is not receiving any network packet, gives different info and no errors, after boot into system tried to tun on by hardware and didnt awake, but at least i have seen different code on boot and no errors ( I think ).

Javalui, can you take a little look to this log and tell us where to look for the error?, I mean, i witch file from the building folder and where to get info about the hardware coding of the intel 3945, i know we are not coders, but maybe we can find someone to help you.... ;)

Booting_HW_switch_off.txt

maybe we can find someone to help you.... :)

your logs is the only one that looks right

the driver starts right and tries to load ucode

you have:

22/04/08 21:53:36 kernel warning iwl3945: Radio disabled by HW RF Kill switch \

this means you start testing the driver with the card off

goto windows and turn the card on by pressing the switch

reboot to mac os

i wonder why you're the only one with the right logs

Sorry Javalui, i enjoyed so much my hackintosh install and erased windows... i just have windows on parallels and it cant see the card...

Every time i build the kext, i erase the whole downloaded project folder and download it again then i use iwi3945.xcodeproj to build the kext, so it points to my build folder... this can make a difference with others? or is just there are several versions of the card?.

iwi3945 rel 802

@#! another way to start the card

wait...

the svn tree is corrupted

Cxddev,

you need to use anoter folder for iwi4965

if you need help i fix the iwi4965 folder after you upload it

i'll fix the iwi3945 tree

iwi3945 rel 803

ready to go

just check if it starts ok and post system.log

if you know how to help writting code just do it - don't ask me to teach you cause i don't know what i'm doing :)

mlazy,

if you search in this topic for "linux" i think you can get the link to the linux log

Use a Linux live CD http://www.knoppix.org/ to turn on card the OS runs from CD!! Great for testing... Or better yet www.ubuntu.com
