hmm i had this problem with rev1 i installed it 2-3 times then it work.. if i'm not mistaken the time that worked i made the mac partition bootable , http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues#toc3 try it maybe your lucky :) if not try reinstalling it

Thank's for the tips but i'm asking exactly the opposit of this. I don't want to install tiger, if I wanted that I would not download zeph's release. I want a plain Leopard Install, don't want to download 6 Gbs of install discs (leo and Tiger). I'm asking if I can install drivers at the terminal, if it's not possible and the only way is to install tiger, ok, just confirm that. I just can't believe that I'm just a few screens away from getting it done and I'll have to install tiger ;)

Can anybody give another tip?

no, thats pretty much it. If you want a plain leopard install, then your gonna have to download another few GB's called tiger - consider it part of leo because thats what it has become at this point = neccesary

unless you have intel CPU or a real mac - this is what you get.

Good Luck! :)

OKay i fixed my broken "iTunes issue", heres what made it work (simple)

deleted itunes/ deleted varoius "iTunes" related files from /Library/... and System/Library ( i just deleted anything with the word iTUnes in it) , rebooted, ran "Automation" scripts with Onyx (all but folder display), rebooted then installed the "iTunes7.5.dmg" from apples website (I had previously downloaded it).

Now it works!

Thanks you guys for the replies.

ShadeZeRo: I tried the latest NVinject Go drivers and it worked! I have my NVidia Geforce GO 6150 up and running, CI but no QE yet. Thanks again!

As for my wifi problem, I checked for extra wireless kexts, nothing at all. I should be looking in the "Plugins" directory of "IO80211Family.kext" correct?

I will post a more detailed description of my problem when I'm booted into Leopard next. Mayne some screen shots.

Well I tryed these commands and I did add the boot string to the drive but still no boot :hysterical: :

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

I may be wrong here, but I think when I installed I selected the active partition by typing just "f 1" and not "f 01". Maybe this is your problem...

emirmusic, http://osx.kbot.de/ says:

// rdiskXsX: you have to know the proper partition names and replace them with X.

In my case, it would rdisk1s1, first HDD (1), and first partition (1), on which leopard has been installed, which needs to be made bootable //

1 -> Launch DVD

2 -> At boot prompt, type -s (single user mode)

3 -> Type:

fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX

update

f 1

w (y)

q

4 -> Then type:

cd /usr/standalone/i386

./startupfiletool -v /dev/rdisXsX ./boot (X is your partition)

5 ->

mount -uw /

mount -t hfs /dev/diskXsX /Volumes

6 ->

bless -device /dev/diskXsX -setBoot -verbose

7 -> reboot

I must say that this release is on par with the Tubgirl releases for AMD. However, I was wondering what I'd need to do in order to get my ATI x1300 working on this release? Is it possible just to run the package install off of a Tubgirl dvd and install the kexts that way or am I going to need NATIT?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Few questions first ^_^:

cd /usr/standalone/i386 <--enter here

./startupfiletool -v /dev/rdis0sX ./boot...(rdisOsX or rdiskOsX)...(O stands for letter or number)

PS: I'm realy sorry for these stupid questions

hi,

hangs on the part where it ask : "do you already own a mac?"

Everytime i choose not to transfer my data he puts me back to where i can choose my language. what can i do?

Right now only solution is to transfer account from a working install of "Tiger".

best thing to do= install tiger on an old worthless hdd, set it up and then reboot into leo, transfer account, once thats done, reboot into tiger, and use disk util to make an image of the entire "leopard" disk (disk that yyou installed leopard on), leave it there on the tiger drive or place it somewhere safe

now everytime you have an issue and ned to reinstall, just boot back into tiger, goto disk util, and restore that image onto the "Leopard" disk.

Good luck

Like mentioned here before try to transfer your Tiger account from a different partition/harddisk, and if that doesn't work try to run Marvin's AMD Utility because that worked for me...

try booting with -x option, for me it does the job..
