antaholics
I am not sure what you're talking about. I didn't have to install anything extra besides the files in the .zip file for ffscroll... AFAIK my Leopard install came with ApplePS2Trackpad.kext plugged in ApplePS2Controller.kext... if not, pull it from a DVD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/70928-the-official-asus-f3-series-notebook-thread/page/16/#findComment-640553 Share on other sites

python1564
Ok slowly but surely im solving the issues i have with my F3JP. My highest concern right now is that the laptop thinks its a desktop, ergo i do not have any laptop power options (i cant choose what happens when i close the lid etc.), an di do not have a battery status anywhere. Im running Kalyway 10.5.1 loepard. Does anyone have any ideas or files i could use to fix this? antaholics
try putting it into /System/Library/SystemConfiguration (i think that's where it is), making sure you're replacing your old one. @easycome, try clicking on ffscroll, then when it stops loading, click "show all" at the top, and then go back to ffscroll. it worked for me in Tiger, but I haven't tried in Leopard yet. @ALL! someone has a solution for 2 cores running on Asus Santa Rosa laptops and some MSI motherboards where they have the same problem. I haven't tried it yet so I can't say for myself that it works, but can someone check it out? here's the link: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=90505 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/70928-the-official-asus-f3-series-notebook-thread/page/16/#findComment-646000 Share on other sites

QMax
@PiNcIuSsS The bundle attached to my previous post works really well on my Asus. Shows battery indicator, batt level, remaining time and percentage, and let me change between performance and battery life. It works without a problem at every boot. @antaholics If you have time to try to contact Kabyl, please ask him if Asus F9S bios (I attached to my post on that thread last 2 releases) can be modified. I'll give it a chance... Thanks ! antaholics
I think the fastest way is to PM him on IRC. Unfortunately I'm at an university where IRC is banned (for security reasons? >.>) so I had to PM him on the forum about my F3SV. Hopefully he'll get back to us soon! python1564
well i tried the files that were posted by Qmax and didnt work, and Pinciusss' ones caused kernel panic so i had to reinstall the system. In system profiler it says that its a mac pro, not a laptop. Could it have something to do with that?
