A Nonny Moose
Can you all please just stop arguing. Every time someone argues in InsanelyMac, a Canadian high school student has unprotected sex. The future of Canada is in your hands.Screw Canada (literally)! You didn't get the story did you, it's meant to be like that so it fits with OS X toolbars, the same is going to happen with Vista and Linux versions making it more consistent within the OS's.OK, so instead of:1. Firefox working faster on a Power PC Mac without having to search for "the version." 2. Integration with the OS X Address Book 3. Integration with the Services Menu We get eye candy. Well, color me excited! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67321-firefox-3-feature-revealed/page/2/#findComment-482015 Share on other sites
Azurael
I hope it gets native widgets too. I'd actually use Firefox on OS X if it felt like an OS X app rather than a random app from another OS which just happens to work on OS X. I'm {censored} of Safari and it's magic rainbow wheel of doom It really annoys me how 'Options'/'Preferences' is in different places in FF on different OSes, but I'd prefer native keystrokes to FF having it's own which are cross-platform. Consistency is very important with integration with your OS because it's the first thing people see. Lost count the times people moaned about the consistent look of Tiger, thats why Uno was so popular. Regarding this thread, I had no idea so many people would have a strong opinion either way. Dainix
To me, the look of the browser doesn't bother me at all. If it loads whatever I ask it to the fastest, I'll use it. That's why I've been using Safari 3 for my old iMac G4. It outruns Firefox in pretty much every aspect. Yes, Safari's a lot faster than FF on my iMac G4, even though my G4 is faster Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67321-firefox-3-feature-revealed/page/2/#findComment-488100 Share on other sites
