xyzzy
Just a heads up to the bootcamp peeps, the drivers are out there, just gotta look for it, its about 345mb~Ahem.... "out there"... where? EDIT: Aheeeeeeeem, ok ok, right on the DVD, correct! It's hybrid HFS+ISO, so if you read it under Windows, the Bootcamp drivers show up.... great! What is the size of everyone's extracted DMG? The one from the green demon is 6.66GB. I think that's a little strange. To be more specific it is 7,156,338,431 bytes. Same size for me, downloaded from a.b.boneless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66936-torrents-no-leopard-for-you-apple-settles-on-9a581-gm/page/24/#findComment-480096 Share on other sites
Beren Erchamion
What is the size of everyone's extracted DMG? The one from the green demon is 6.66GB. I think that's a little strange. To be more specific it is 7,156,338,431 bytes. The DMG is compressed. Mount it and you will see than the virtual disk is 7.11GB. We're good to go!Got 'em. Thanks. We're good to go!Should we burn the bootcamp drivers to a DVD or CD, or does it matter? Assuming just mounting the .dmg should give us what we need? zeebe
If you are having trouble booting from a burned disc from this image, I hope you didn't mount the image WITHOUT locking it!! You need to LOCK the image or it gets changed and WON'T BOOT! You will have to re-download. stek1961
Dont forget u can install onto another partition via the mounted dmg, using osinstall.mpkg on the DVD image. Only seems to work for me tho if installing from earlier Leonard, tiger gives an error which I've forgotten the jist of. I got it up and running, after mucho buggering about, I too found I couldn't CCC onto another partition without errors from 9A559, but worked perfectly from tiger. I'm on a new iMac, and the install screen still has a video glitch for me, and it's locked up once, as did Tiger. I am suffering from the video driver prob present on these machines, a virgin tiger install is fine, software update 1.1 buggers it. I rather fear this update is built into Leonard, we are waiting for a (Tiger) fix end of month according to apple. Other than that, I can't tell this diff from 559, apart from the noglass dock option, which i like!
