With VLC you don't need to f*** with codecs. It may be simple, but he was asking for VIDEOS. You play them and it works in vlc. VLC plays, flv's, dvds, dvd directories (rips), you can take shots from dvds, plays all the windows media (no need to install other stuff for a mac), you can play just about anything. It is s a great player. Not fancy, but better than iTunes because it more plays more. Try it before you spout stuff off about the program.

Install Perian and use iTunes. Gives you many of the codecs covered by VLC.
