Change atindrv.kext for the new! Then try natit_alopias.kext or what will approach you natit!

the "ATIradeonx1950pro_dmitrik_Edited.zip" was for x1950pro

 

@Bluejacky: "Post#36 x1950_gt_7288.zip" try it it should work for you

 

and don't forget:

 

sudo -s and enter your password

chown -R 0:0 /system/library/extensions

chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions

rm /system/library/extensions.mkext

rm /system/library/extensions.kextcache

kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions

Hi, I have done some test on my Sapphire 1950GT 256MB (19" LCD 1280x1024), here is the result.

 

1. 7288.zip + natit_alopias.kext (or natit_wormy.kext) : unknow ATi, 1024x768 only, QE OK, Rotation No, DVI>VGA.

2. x1950_pro_7288_dmitrik.zip + natit_alopias.kext (or natit_wormy.kext) : unknow ATi, 1024x768 only, QE OKs, Rotation No, DVI>VGA.

3. x1950_pro_7288_dmitrik only: ATi Radeon X1950 Series, 1280x1024 (my poor LCD), QE and Rotation OK, DVI>VGA.

4. x1950gt_7288_scrz.zip + natit.kext (for GT on Post#83) : ATi Radeon X1950 Series, 1024x768 only, QE OKs, Rotation No, DVI>VGA.

5. x1950gt_7288_scrz.zip only(for GT on Post#83) : ATi Radeon X1950 Series, 1280x1024 (my poor LCD), QE and Rotation OK, DVI>VGA.

Basicly, 7288.zip, x1950_pro_7288_dmitrik, x1950gt_7288_scrz.zip all work well on my Sapphire 1950GT 256MB with DVI>VGA. Card can be recognized as ATi Radeon X1950 Series, QE and Rotation are OK.

 

I have tried to use these pack with natit_alopias, natit_wormy and natit for GT, but the result is poor. Can boot, but card can't be recognized, only 1024x768.

 

So these Natits do not work on my 1950GT, and DVI>VGA is still required.

hi, bronya and scrizz, i download x1950gt_7288_scrz.zip and copy files in it to /system/library/extensions

then type

sudo -s also enter the password root!

chown -R 0:0 /system/library/extensions

chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions

rm /system/library/extensions.mkext

rm /system/library/extensions.kextcache

kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions

reboot

but!!! then I can't boot into desktop,stop at the start interface, a circle ratation, any one help me?

Now ci & qe work fine and I can use my favorite app! (Toast, ...)

My LCD dysplay is plug as DVI so I don't understand your 'not supported'.. well it's work anyway xD

Hi, I'm having some troubles....

 

I've just installed OSX 10.4.9 Uphuck, and its working fine in 1024x768 with no CI/QE...

 

And I followed post 1, only installing atiradeonx1950pro_dmitrik and doing the things in terminal....rebooted, and as I did 6 months ago, everything works fine, if I press F9, my cursor changes to a hand......only one problem - A BLUE SCREEN IS COVERING EVERYTHING!!! ;)

 

and if I pressed my power button, I get a still image of OSX working fine, without the blue screen.....then it of course goes off! ;)

 

So now, I have a broken OSX install, so I will wait for a reply here before I reinstall....

 

I have a Powercolor 1950pro AGP btw...

 

Thanks in advance - im so excited to finaly get it working!!!

Looks like me and you are having the same problem! :rolleyes:

 

Let it all load up, untill its just a blue screen with black cursor.......press F9, does your cursor change to a white hand?

 

And if you press the power button, do you get a quick look at OSX, before the PC shuts down?

 

Thats what problem I'm having! :unsure:

 

Its like theirs 3 layers - OSX as normal, with a blue screen covering it all, and then the cursor on top.....maybe its because the login window isnt starting, so its just a security messure??

In leopard - support of other video cards...

I replaced drivers and rebooted my hackintosh and after grey screen my monitors turns off. My monitors are HP 1955 and HP 1755

How to fix this problem!?

I did a clean any ati etc file from /System/Library/Extensions

I did a clean any Natit file from /System/Library/Extensions

Followed your instructions from post #1 in this thread

In /System/Library/Extensions I no have ANY Natit file

repair permissions

 

If I put natit_alopias.kext in /sistem/library/extensions my Vcard no work perfectly:

Vram is 256 Mb, resolution fix and I have video artefact on mouse pointer.

 

I have only one monitor VGA.

 

What is Natit_* FILE??????

 

I have 3 Hard disk in RAID 5.Do you have solution for raid driver???

MB Asus P5W DH Deluxe with ICH7R chipset.

You installed ATINDRV.kext from dvd 10.4.8 or 10.4.10 in /system/library/extensions ! And try natit_alopias.kext !!!

OK, this is what I did exactly:

 

I installed a fresh OSX 10.4.9 Unhuck -fine

I installed 10.4.10 using MacOSXUpd10.4.10Intel.mpkg -fine

I deleted ALL the files starting with ATI from /extentions/, including ATINDRV.kext

I put all the new kext from "10_4_10.zip" into my extentions folder, plus I added Natit_Wormy.kext

I ran this: 

sudo -s
chown -R 0:0 /system/library/extensions
chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions
rm /system/library/extensions.mkext
rm /system/library/extensions.kextcache
kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions

...and rebooted - it had a light blue screen covering everything again! -_-

 

PLEASE help me Bronya, give me a detailed explanation of which files to use, and where to put them! :)

Hi!

 

I have Asus EAX1950PRO and today I tried nearly everything on my 10.4.10 but nothing...only kernel errors. Now I succeeded with this method:

* download jccool driver for X1950XT from here, install it and restart

* download pion's installer from here, install it and restart

 

After that I got it working on DVI with CI and QE -_-

I've tried loads of things, and when ever I get away from 1024x768, with no CI or QE, I just have a light blue screen overing my screen, and all I can see if my mouse cursor! :unsure:

 

Doesnt help that each time I mess it up, it takes 30 mins just to get it reinstalled and updated to 10.4.10 lol

I have PCI-E and it worked both times when I had just updated it to 10.4.10.

 

BTW, after you have updated to 10.4.10 make a copy of your Extensions dir, eg:

cp -r /System/Library/Extensions/ /ext/

now if you screwed OS again, boot it in singel user mode ("-s" flag) and then:

mount -uw /
rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/
cp -r /ext/ /System/Library/Extensions/
kextcache -z -k /System/Library/Extensions/

And restart the computer

 

At least this worked for me. Booted up OS X normally and you can try different graphic card install method.

Hi everyone. First, thanks to Bronya and everyone who's working on this.

Now one question. I have managed to install Bronya's drivers on my machine with 10.4.10 and vcard Ati sapphire x1950pro pcie 512mb. In the beginning I had mouse tearing and strange flashes, now I took away natit.kext and everything is working fine. My monitor is recognized (philips 190s) and I have QI/CE and resolution choices. But if I try to put a natit, any kind of natit (alopyas, wormy etc.) the screen starts flashing again and the mouse starts tearing. All I wanted to do is find a way to have both my displays recognized. Up to now I have two philips 190s connected via VGA, working in mirroring and only the first is recognized. Any suggestions? Thanks. Max

 

p.s. I have installed Bronya's package on post 1
