rickt-leopard
Hi, I see in your machine specs are the same as mine, but when I load Callisto3fixe (putting my ID inside the kext) and reboot, I get the options for more resolutions but when I click on weither one of them (1280x1024,etc) the screen goes black and I cant get to anymore and I have to reboot, can you tell me how you installe it please? thanks! The only difference between your and mine is that I loaded Darwin 9.2.0 and you have 9.2.2 would that make a difference? Can you include here your kext files already modified, it seems to have the same device ID's, mine is 0x5955 and 0x1002 vendor (so it should be 0x59551002). Mine is a dv5224nr running leo4allv3 with : 128MB dedicated video ATI Radeon Xpress 200M 2.2Ghz Turion 64 ML-40 Memory: 1.25 GB DDR333 Yours: Mac OS X 10.5.2 Leo4allv3 : Darwin Kernel 9.2.2 Laptop: HP Pavilion dv5135nr : 1.8Ghz AMD Turion 64 ML-34 Memory: 1024MB DDR333 Video: 128MB ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (0x5955)(1280x800 using Callisto_b003fixed, no QE/CI) Sound: RealTek AC'97 (working) Internet: Wireless - Broadcom 802.11 b/g (BCM4318)(working) Ethernet - RealTek 8187 (working) HDD: External 60GB Fujitsu Firewire (working) Keyboard (working... obviously) Synaptics TouchPad (working) Thanks so much with any help you can offer me. EDIT: I used Callisto version 006 and it worked... now I have 1280x1024... nice!! alien2xx It could have been the kernel that wasn't allowing you to use the Callisto003fixed... but a lot of it has to do with the different chipsets too. You might have also not saved something correctly or skipped an instruction. I know when I was doing mine the first time it was a dud. I followed the instructions it came with to the T! But... Iactually missed something... deleting the cache files. Once I re-did what the instructions said, I worked!! I could change resolutions without a problem. I have seen other posters say that they also get black screens when changing resolutions and it had to do with a missed step in setting it up or incompatitble hardware. I really do hope SLICE or someone SMART can get QE/CI working... One thing I'm kinda stuck on is that Callisto only sees 16MB of my 128MB video memory. Hmm... it doesn't make sense. Does somone know how to get this changed??

Willian Ifanger
Hello to all. Sorry for may english. After muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch work I finally got around to install the Kalyway version in my notebook. Well, the problem begins when it restarts to enter the MacOS for the first time; I can hear the sound, but the image is a blur......i can't see anything. Googling, I find that the problem is the lack of a specific driver for vga xpres 1100 in the options for installation. Here, you quote "callisto" as a functional driver. I downloaded. But whne, in installation process, I use it? How do I use it? I am a noob and I do not have much intimacy with the commands. Does anyone can be the patience to help me? msll
I am a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M user for a couple of years (Toshiba A105). I actually installed Tiger and Leopard successfully. So I can explain why to you. When you install Tiger, you will see VRAM (total) 16MB. But if you adjust the VRAM to 128M or even 256M in windows XP, and then switch to leopard, you will see the VRAM is the same as your setting in Windows XP, which means 128M or 256M! BTW, in leopard, Xpress 200M will give you software CI, but not really QE/CI working. I hope I carlify your wondering. alien2xx said Video: 128MB ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (0x5955)(1280x800 using Callisto_b003fixed, no QE/CI) How he have 128 mb .... how is posible????... my info gave me VRAM (Total): 16 MB btw most of us r using callisto fixed 003 but in callisto there's a final release ... and the specification about it which r??? http://omni.110mb.com/callisto/ Final build: Build 008, June 13, 2006 and somebody said about Callisto beta 6 ...... who is working on it??? Pericles Silva
Hello for all. First, congrats to Slice and to the others who have try this Graphic Card to have accelaration. Well, i have the same problem above: I use a Acer 5040, with X200M Graphic Card. After i put Mac Pilot, i can make CE for Software... but memory shows only 48mb (even i set 256mb in BIOS). Resolution works after download the Calisto003 Fixed and put the kext in the Extensions Folder. Well, if help someone, here goes my specs: (some translation, because i'm brazilian) Radeon XPRESS 200M (PCIE): Modelo do Grupo de Circuitos Integrados: Radeon XPRESS 200M (PCIE) Tipo: Monitor Barramento: PCI VRAM (Total): 48 MB (P.S.: I set 256mb in BIOS) Fornecedor: ATI (0x1002) ID do Dispositivo: 0x5975 ID da Revisão: 0x0000 Monitores: LCD Colorido: Resolução: 1280 x 768 @ 60 Hz Profundidade: Cor de 32 bits Core Image: Software Monitor Principal: Sim (Yes) Espelho: Desligado (off) On-line: Sim (Yes) Quartz Extreme: Não Compatível (Not Compatible) QuartzGL: Compativel (Compatible) I think if we can change the memory size, we will have more speed in Graphics... i try to understand the explanations, but, i can't understand it... In Windows, appears like ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M, and appears the 256mb of memory. Thanks to all!!!

alien2xx
Thanks Slice... Its a good chipset, Vista runs beautifully on this (aero), its a shame that it cant be done yet for Mac OSX, This is probably what is stopping me (and probably many other users) from enjoying 100% Leopard ... I really wish that someone with the skills would put their hand on this and make it work... Slice you have done a great job and I thank you for it... Please dont let this die ... Thanks again. alien2xx Its a 128MB dedicated video, Callisto version 6 drivers reads it as 31MB.
