I strongly disagree, Apple's never pulled a realase of something that bad, and because the features are so incredibly important, it's crtitical for Apple. Leopard has high expectations (to which it has lived up to less than even Vista, I say).

Leopard had better have some damn good "secret features" or Apple is screwed. Leopard simply sucks ass as it is right now, and a lot of people are very ignorant of it.

Apple will get the bugs out though, that much I know. They're not like Microsoft, I like to think, they won't realease something as bad as Vista.

I have read many times on the net the bugs with new OS's from Apple, aren't that bad yes, but if you are really needing one feature of the OS and it is bugged, then the whole experience is tarnished. Apple are great software makers, just bugs happen to everybody. With so many new things in Leopard, there will be bugs and though the release will be better than a Windows release, I would rather wait till the day 1 bugs are gone and the OS is going into that polishing stage.

I really really doubt that the leopard releases seeded to devs are anywhere near what the in-house progress of the OS is at. All the secret features, the enhancements, potential UI changes... the versions that we see are for devs only, and only have the needed software for them to develop solid apps over. That's it. And Apple updates that just so both they and the third-parties are on the same page... so that the devs can take advantage of new technologies as they become bug-free.

I tend to cast this rumor as false, though, because there are still many bugs to be ironed out. But lets be clear: what we think it has amounted to is probably not what it will be released as.
