Yes, "INCORE" is AP's network name.

I not found "darwin_iwi2200: associated: 'INCORE' 00:17:9a:10:eb:d2" in log.

After that log loop and about 5 minits kernel panic.

uhm,ok. i re-read your log.

sorry,i think that you cannot associate INCORE because INCORE is secure network.

thnx. good report.

hum i has occured this problem.

do you setupt network name via AirPort setting?

I dont understand what driver should do when user set network name ...

Yes i used Airport Settings to setup the card, the crash occurs when i click to connect to a network.

Edit: I try to connect to my network with the security disabled. Still no luck. It crashes when i try to connect.

if you set network name via AirPort Setting, driver always freeze.

so you must not set network name ( currently support only automatic association ( cannot specify network name)).

you go

AirPort Setting -> click Option

set "Automatically join an open network" (if "ask before joining an open network " or "keep looking for recent networks" , start to associate and kerne panic occurs.)

and must not set network name.

Ok ill try that, and post the new logs when im finisched.

The driver isnt crashing when im not manually connecting to my AP. It finds the correct linksys AP, but i seems that it doesnt connect automaticly. Here my new logs, maybe you can find something usefull in there.

Having installed the 3965 driver I managed to get as far as everyone else where by it shows that there is a 3rd party driver present. Anyway turned my laptop on today and it it stops!! get to the spinning logo then the blue screen comes ready to show my desktop but it never does it just stays on the blue screen, booted mac with -v and -s and the text states something about the wireless card. So my question is a)is it possible to delete a text with a command using -v to enter diagnostics. Or b)if not are the any other solutions people have??

Thanks in advance

Using -s you should be able to boot into single-user mode and remove the kext. Holding down Shift during boot should do the trick.

this is v5 of iwi2200.kext

please post logs

thanks

Hi and thanks for your help.

THe problem I'm having is I'm using a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S7020 and as my wireless I have this 2200BG net card. I'm really trying to get this working but I'm having some real problems finding a suitable driver for my '02 Micro' cardbus controller. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to get this working? I already downloaded a IOPCCardFamily.kext file in another post, but I get a kernel Panic everytime the iwi2200.kext uses it as a dependency. Can anyone point me to a suitable thread or post for this as I'm having trouble?

I'm kinda stuck with my onboard LAN as well as its a Broadcom 5751 Gigabit, which is also really troublesome. So far I've managed to get that *almost* running but my MAC address is stuck as 00:00:00:00:00:00. A common issue that many laptops except mine seem to be able to get around.

I will try your v5 with my current setup though.

Thanks.

Further to my last post, I've tried your v5 kext and it now recognises my card as Airport.

Thanks, as this is great progress for me.

However, I cant detect any WiFi networks around and if I try to connect to mine using the 'Other...' command, my system locks.

However, this is progress.

Here is my log:

at this point the iwi2200 (see source) is using code that could be used in iwi2100 and iwi3945.

i'm keeping the ieee80211 lib functions names to help developing other drivers.

the first step in this project will be to allow associating open wireless networks (with no security)

i still haven't find a way to get a valid ip after attaching to a wireless network.

this version fixes the en0, en1 bug (that should work in laptops with a broken ethernet card)
