  1. ATI 4830 Stuck @ 75hz

I have an ATI 4830 512MB, and i have an problem with it. I can only select resolution's which support 72/75hz or higher, i have read some other topics of people with 4800series cards who have/had the same problem. But there's never an answer in these topics. So right know i have 1280x960@75hz, which works but it isn't sharp. And with almost all other resolutions i can't select 75hz so they won't work. I hope there is an solution to this, because the native resolution 1920x1080 only supports 60hz
  2. Sapphire ATI Radeon 4830 (Lion)

I've succeeded to login to my desktop, i used VNC to login and change my resolution. It works but the max resolution i can successfully choose is 1600x900 @ 75Hz (60 Hz doesn't work). My displays native resolution is 1920x1080, but when i select that one it says "Input Not Supported". And i have a new line thats keeps popping op in dmesg, IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero My display is a ACER P246H. I hope there is someone who had this problem to and knows how to solve it, thanks in advanced. EDIT: It seems that every resolution works as long as i can select 75Hz, but at 1920x1080 i can only select 60Hz so it doesn't work. Does someone know if there is a way to for 75Hz @ 1920x1080?
  3. Sapphire ATI Radeon 4830 (Lion)

I have installed lion on my desktop pc, the first thing i did was copying FakeSMC.kext to my extension folder to make it boot. Then found a kext to make my network card working. But now i'm trying to get my graphics card working. Specs: Intel Pentium E5200 Asus P5B-Premium 4 GB 800Mhz DDR-2 750 GB HDD (Windows) 80 GB HDD (OSX) Sapphire ATI Radeon 4830 ACER P246H At first i tryed Netkas 10.7.1 qe/ci exotic patch, and when i reboot my display go's black and says "input not supported" which seems to indicate that a wrong resolution is used. Then i tryed to set the resolution with com.apple.Boot.plist <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1024x768x32</string> But i didn't seem to have any effect. When i boot with kernel flag "-v" i see this: ** Device in slot --1 ** So it seems the kext looks for a device in the wrong slot or something. Does anyone know how i can make my graphics card work?
  4. Acer Aspire 5740 (Core i3 + HM55), bootloop.

Its almost solved, seemed to be a problem with my bootloader. Now it doesn't reboot anymore, but it seems to hang at "Waiting for DSMOS". I searched for obvious error, and these three lines seem to point to a problem. 1. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::StartForReal - WatForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement)) timed out 2. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver 3. Waiting for DSMOS
  5. [solved]ACPI table not found:DSDT.aml

I did use verbose boot, i see three potential failures (i could be wrong though). 1. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::StartForReal - WatForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement)) timed out 2. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver 3. Waiting for DSMOS
  6. [solved]ACPI table not found:DSDT.aml

Thanks for your help, at least it doesnt reboot anymore. Now it seems to hang, no obvious error though. So i couldn't test my usb mouse for you.
  7. [solved]ACPI table not found:DSDT.aml

Thanks, i'll erase my usb disk and restore the lion installer again. And i'll try to get chameleon working on my 4GB usb disk. About the usb mouse, i think it should be working. Because your usb ports are working (you're booting from it), and the usb mouse should be recognized as a normal hid device.
  8. Acer Aspire 5740 (Core i3 + HM55), bootloop.

Did you try to install lion? It could be that i'm missing something here, but can't think off anything.
  9. Acer Aspire 5740 (Core i3 + HM55), bootloop.

I could be the Integrated GPU from the i3 thats holding back the installer to boot, but i dont know for sure. I have seen some people who did manage to install with an Core i3 but they had external GPU's. I hope there is someone one this forum with more knowledge of this matter.
  10. [solved]ACPI table not found:DSDT.aml

Can you share your solution, cause i have an Core i3 330M and i can boot the installer it reboots at the same line as it did with you.

  12. Zijn hier ook nederlanders?

Gegroet mede nederlandstaligen, Heb OSX nu perfect werken, naast mijn XP installatie.
