changes for all drivers in start()

howto test:

- wait for the driver to finish loading.

- check system preferences -> network to see it it is detected there.

- test it with the wireless switcher/fn+F2/networkselector

if you get a panic:

- boot with -s

- type sh/etc/rc

- call networkselector after the driver load

- post the picture of the kernel panic

no kernal panic

no new network adapters detected in system preferences

Logs for iwi3945 attached

Note: My toshiba uses Fn +F8 to switch on and off but I usually have mine on always, in network selector it says its on as well.

Well, first of all to all of you guys helping to get the 3945 card working.

I installed the last version of iwi3945 (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=36976&st=2857#) with no success. I had a couple of crashes after installing it.

System: HP Pavilion dv6135nr

WiFi Card: Intel 3945 abg

OS X Version: 10.4.9 (uphuck v1.3 dvd)

These are my logs, I hope I made it right.

Cheers.

Hello Jalavoui,

I'm newbie with Osx86 but have carefully read all the nice things you've done for the wifi drivers.

I have an intel 3945 and I really want to help you to fix the driver issues. I know very well C/C++ but I don't know how is made an Mac OS driver. Do you have some links or quick explanations about it? Is it possible to have the iwi3945 source?

thanks

iwi3945 log files ...

There should be something else to know ?

cheers

snd_cmd changed. looks like the driver can't send commands while rfkill is on. please test this.

I got a kernal panic on the first boot but when I cold shutdown and booted back up I got back to my desktop, system preferences didn't pick up anything new. But here are the logs once more
