Gundam
i've changed code related with the card mac address.you can check if it reports the card address by typing ifconfig in the console, and check if the card is there (should be listed as en1) i've also disabled some rfkill hacks - be carefull when you press the wireless switch - looks like itm turns the card off and never goes on again it's so easy to write a driver when you got a card - i changed this code for iwi2200 and it works quite fine. i finally get rid of the old resetDevice() function. iv'e also changed other stuff - let me know it it works on iwi3945 what if it shows as en2? en2: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 ether 00:18:de:0c:ad:ed media: autoselect (<unknown type>) status: inactive supported media: none autoselect DS1 DS2 DS5 DS11 autoselect <unknown type> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/117/#findComment-457156 Share on other sites
atlee
mine shows up as another Ethernet port en1 also, PCI Ethernet Slot pci8086,4222 ID: 00:18:de:28:7e:38 Also brand says: Intel but nothing special, since the ealier versions it showed up as en1, also never had a kernal panic, i'm currently running 10.4.10 latest gives kernal panic, how can i get a log if i remove the kext from extensions after i get a panic? because i install the package file, get the panic, use terminal to remove the file, then reboot, then the getlogs3 script trys to look for the kext when its not there? Torolla
dark_knight the Intel 3945 is under development. The only alternative solution is buy other card, or help on the development. auqs10
The logs of the latest iwi3945.dmg (28 sept. 2007 01:44 AM) uploaded, and comments included in system.txt. Still not working but very good thing, NO PANIC. In Network Selector still associating "Address en1 (00:00:00:00:00)" The ifconfig gives a good association though - image capture attached. auqs10
SirMaximuM the package I used was the latest upload by Jalavoui in post 2911 (page 146 in this forum). Unfortunately the driver is not working yet, but Jalavoui is very dedicated in developing a viable solution for these Intel Wireless Crads. Again, unfortunately I can only test the 3945a/b/g drivers on my laptop, because I don't know any programming.
