I guess you are free to have your beliefs, but give 'ubuntu' a try. I found it to kick MS ass. It comes soooooo close to Mac.

 

Within a few years, you never know.

 

Also Redhat targets companys more. The RHEL is meant for company workstations and servers, not desktops.

Fedora Core is meant for desktop, but that doesnot help Redhat in any way.

Good point but too long. I'm sure all that could be told in a minute or two.Felt like it was five minutes long.

 

Also although it was a good idea after about 30 seconds you could see where it was going. Another reason to keep it short.

 

I need to try linux :D.

the one problem with that ad is that it takes to long to even hint at what its for, so it may lose interest before they get to the linux punchline.... that would be bad.

This is quite old, don't miss other add. There are awesome other add also, and in incredible way explain open source and Microsoft monopoly.

I try to switch to linux last weeks but it is impossible for me right now. Linux is not ready for desktop.

 

Every package management i use sucks. One of biggest strengths of linux "modularity" is one of the biggest weakness of this system. To much time spend of maintain. Not every one is linux guru to do this without pain.
