U.C. Posted December 25, 2006 Author Share Posted December 25, 2006 I guess you are free to have your beliefs, but give 'ubuntu' a try. I found it to kick MS ass. It comes soooooo close to Mac. Within a few years, you never know. Also Redhat targets companys more. The RHEL is meant for company workstations and servers, not desktops. Fedora Core is meant for desktop, but that doesnot help Redhat in any way. Also although it was a good idea after about 30 seconds you could see where it was going. Another reason to keep it short. I need to try linux . Linux is not ready for desktop. Every package management i use sucks. One of biggest strengths of linux "modularity" is one of the biggest weakness of this system. To much time spend of maintain.
