kgp
I can confirm a painless OTA update to macOS 26.4 RC (25E241) using WhateverGreen 1.7.1d7 and an updated OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly setup working with AMFIPass.kext and the boot argument -amfipassbeta. The corresponding patchset is available here: https://github.com/kgp-macPro/OCLP-lzhoang2801-amfipassbeta After the update, everything continues to work as expected: - AppleHDA (modern audio) - Wi-Fi (modern Wi-Fi) - Apple Wireless Direct Link (AWDL) - AirDrop - AirPlay - Screen Mirroring - Continuity support is limited. Handoff works (e.g. Mail, Notes, Safari), while Sidecar is currently not functional. Overall system performance and stability are excellent. Nothing appears to be missing compared to Sequoia. Everything looks ready for the official 26.4 release. Note: There is currently no dedicated KDK available for macOS 26.4 RC. However, Kernel Debug Kit 26.4 build 25E5233c for beta 4 seems to work without any issues. For further details about the new OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly setup working with AMFIPass.kext and the boot argument -amfipassbeta see also: Good luck, KGP 👍 Edited March 20 by KGP-iMacPro fixing typos 12 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848255 Share on other sites
deeveedee
Has anyone been able to perform the Tahoe 26.4RC update with an incremental update? Even with BluetoolFixup.kext disabled, OTA is only offering the full 26.4RC update for me and I don't currently have sufficient space on this test volume. Not a big deal since I can test on another volume - just wondering if others have seen the same. 6 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848257 Share on other sites

I was also unable to get the incremental update although I reverted the root patches and the incremental update always worked such. The update has been performed with the full 18 GB package. 5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848258 Share on other sites

deeveedee
I never thought I'd be seeing improvements in VoodooHDA.kext at this stage, but thanks to committed Devs, new improvements are in progress. For those who use or are thinking of using VoodooHDA for audio in macOS Tahoe, take a look at this thread for new developments (be sure to look at the latest posts at the end of the thread). Many thanks to Slice, Dmitry R and MaLd0n and others for continuing to refine VoodooHDA.kext for macOS Tahoe. 10 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848270 Share on other sites

XanthraX
Updated to macOS 26.4 RC (25E241) – Probably it will be the final release of 26.4. Everything went smoothly with OCLP-Mod 3.1.7. The only problem I found in this version of Tahoe is it not allows me to apply custom icons to anything. Did you encounter the same issue? Thank you. 6 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848277 Share on other sites

deeveedee
Acidanthera recommends the use of HFSPlus, not OpenHFS. I was under the impression that OpenHFS is "bundled" only to satisfy some legal issue. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362386-pre-release-macos-tahoe-264/page/7/#findComment-2848322 Share on other sites
