I disabled the ibridged.kext and now macOS loaded without issues. Clearly the ibridged.kext and the WEG kext cannot co-exist. I enabled this ibridged.kext to test if it works and forgot it was still enabled.

very cool:hysterical:

Here's some information I've gathered on System Integrity Protection:

1. Verifying its Active State: there's one specific Code that Enables/Disables the Entire Thing.

00000000 and the last one I ever found 7F020000 or 6F020000. And it was either which version

they were on, pretty much post Catalina, it was actually able to Authenticate the Status of System

Integrity Protection when it was disabled, now the default 03080000 works so does 030F0000.

But when you use 6F020000 you specifically have it all disabled and can use Ammonia/Glow I don't know if anyones been keeping up to date on that but its SICK, the Re-Imagination of macOS as if It were back on Snow Leopard. The only problem is its the whatever 7F 6F that first byte probably I doubt its the Second Byte or of which I've given up at that point see I was trying 03030303 but no that's Wrong* , its not able to authenticate the status again and this is on macOS Tahoe, however the Theme Engine still works* , and all the Modules whatever you call them of system integrity protection ARE* in fact disabled, but you can't load a custom IOKit driver. which is specifically the 2 things I wanted to do, get it back to able to authenticate its state, and load a custom IOKit driver. I have a template to log Codec Verbs.

I have a stupid question here: Does WEG 1.7.1.d7 working in installer too? I tried to read all conversations but I am still confused.

Yes, it works perfectly in all situations, just like Sequoia did before.

By the way, a reminder that if you want to perform incremental updates, you need to uninstall the installed patches (whether MKI or OCLP-Mod).And BlueToolFixup.text needs to be disabled. Otherwise, incremental updates will report errors.

Other drivers such as WEG, VSMC, etc. will not cause incremental updates to fail.I have submitted 1.7.1d7 to the WEG project, but it seems that no developers have replied to me. I am not sure if they will merge my PR.

Ok.  On a different note.  I tried to reinstall AppleHDA using Mykextinstaller.  The first time did not work as nothing changed so I bought the USB sound adapter which did work.  Anyway the process did seem to work but with odd results.  I now have an Optical digital out port listed and the output volume is greyed out.  I don't have one on this ancient PC.  But I did try the built in sound output and still nothing.  Any suggestions?

Cheers, Howard

@laobamac_yyds Thanks your WhateverGreen.kext its also perfect here on AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100 4 GB

Wait until @vit9696 visits his project and I am confident he will accept your PR

Try VoodooHDA.kext 3.0.3.

Well, vit9696 said he wants to solve the problem from within Lilu, not modify WEG

@laobamac_yyds Even if vit9696 doesn't employ your fix exactly as you implemented it, I'm sure your work is helpful to Acidanthera and is much appreciated by us.  Well done.

@Zevgoli I think you'd be the first to install VoodooHDA.kext with myKextInstaller (if it works). :)

Read this thread for background to learn.  Get the latest VoodooHDA.kext here.  I haven't used it, but some find it easiest do use Chris1111's installer.  I think it's here.

EDIT: I sense that you're just starting to learn about hackintoshes, so be patient and don't be afraid to perform a web search or ask ChatGPT.  You'll be amazed at how much is already documented and explained.

And why wouldn't it work? MyKextInstaller is a kext installer and goes far beyond just restoring audio using AppleHDA. You can install any kext, and it will automatically detect what should be installed in L/E and S/L/E.

@Mirone I stand corrected.  It's so easy to install with 'cp -R VoodooHDA.kext /Library/Extensions', that I don't use anything else.  I'm very glad it should work.

this isn't posted anywhere: for sip disable use byte 7F and nothing else in csr-active-config no trailing zeroes or anything like that
