@wagneralex which one of the following cards do you have?

BCM943602BAED, BCM943602CDP, BCM943602CS, DW1830

Update to my build, if I fix WiFi my Ethernet goes down.

the connection is there but not connecting

more config editing me thinks

Same issue here. With my particular ASUS X299 Sage 10G there is no IOMMU implementation of my X550-AT2 NICs. With DisableIOMapper=false (AppleVTD) Intellucy won't work. I don't know what is your particular Ethernet connection but you might face a similar issue.

if I set disable lomapper to true my ethernet works however no WiFi if I set it to false I have WiFi however no ethernet

this is on my Gigabyte Z97mx-Gaming my HP Ewaste is fine both work

That's how it is.. This native Apple WIFI patch requires AppleVTD enabled, which is perfect. However, if you have NICs incompatible with AppleVTD/IOMMU and need DisableIOMapper=true, the native Apple WIFI patch won't work and is practically useless unless you prefer WIFI over Ethernet..  😉

Thanks @KGP-iMacPro Configuring to use NICs and this wifi patch requires various attempts. I have a I-225V and to make it work I had to tweak the kernel quirks in different ways until I got it running using AppleIGC in Sequoia but in Tahoe AppleIGC does not work. In Tahoe the I-225V only works for me with VT-D enabled but patching DMAR. Since itlwm does not work in Tahoe with VT-D enabled in BIOS, I ordered one of the wifi cards listed as compatible and will experiment to see how can I have both options up and running. Otherwise, will return the card and go back to Intel wifi+bt.

Hi @CloverLeaf and @jlrycm! Using device model Broadcom BCM943602CS 3x3 MU MIMO (2015) with native devide-id 0x14E4 and 0x43BA, bluetooth 4.1, and OC config: car-atcive-config 00000000, NVRAm boot-arg wlan.pcie.detectsabotage=0, no amfi. But one item is crucial: DMAR.aml table with AppleVTD enabled on your IOREG :thumbsup_anim:

I’ve done DMAR take thing and deleted all the reserved memory sections saved and added to my config and dropped the OEM table and no difference it’s one or the other not both on my gigabyte only on the HP so I going to try an Apple usb 3 to Ethernet to see if then I can have both

my issue is iCloud isn’t syncing and the difference is  the HP has both Ethernet and WiFi

How do we identify Full and Soft cards?

The eBay link you posted is a BCM94360CS - that’s the wrong model. What you want is a BCM943602CS - the model is written on the module 😉

Wait, what? I thought that AWDL does not work with this solution. How are you able to have these services working?

@Wagalms I have the same question as the GitHub guidance says that Continuity features that rely on AWDL are not working at this moment.

i'm seeing some continuity features work like universal clipboard and handoff, but not airdrop, camera, mirroring, and hotspot. i'm guessing the difference is what's handled over BTLE and what's wifi/AWDL.

FWIW, my DW1830's wifi does not work on every boot in sequoia. It's working in the boot i'm in right now, but boot logs show repeated:

kernel: Couldn't alloc class "AppleBCMWLANCompanion"

though the kext does seem to have loaded...

   66 0 0xffffff800460a000 0x5b000 0x5b000 science.firewolf.bcmc (1.0.0) 7F320FB1-EF4D-3F15-BA08-296E03FD3A22 <57 18 9 7 6 3 2 1>

That’s a good point as some of these features are managed through Bluetooth. Local Send is a good option if AirDrop is not working.

would it be possible to store the bcm firmware bin in the EFI partition? there's space for it, but not sure what the path could be for bcmc-firmware-path.

my idea is, if i have multiple boot options (say, Sequoia and Tahoe), the kext could load the bcm firmware from one common place for any.

Wow, quite a few replies came in while I've been busy.

I got a BMC943602CS and my native WiFi is working under Tahoe!!!

I even forgot to deactivate OCLP-Mod Root Patch and booted with csr-active-config 03080000 - but it stil works!!!

Thanks for your support on this project, and I am glad that your Wi-Fi is working now.

@Austere.J, I just ordered for a few bugs a Broadcom BCM943602CDP and a  BCM943602CDP WIFI WLAN Card to PCI-e 1x 16x Desktop PC WIFI Adapter for testing. Unfortunately, the latter will not arrive before 17 of October. Will it work?

BCM943602CDP uses the BCM43602 chipset, but you need to test it by yourself when the card arrives. Double check whether the device ID is 0x43BA.

Hi

@Austere.J

Thanks for your hard work.

I Inject 0x43b1 to 0x43BA still not work please advise.

Your card is BCM4352 and is not supported by BCMC. You cannot inject the device ID and pretend that your card is BCM43602.

@Austere.J you probably already checked the BCM firmwares available in the Linux Kernel Repository?

Yes, I did.

Thanks for sharing the config file. A side note to those who use this as reference: it's OK to enable the SIP (using 00000000 for CSR).

On 9/30/2025 at 4:28 AM, gsxb said:

You have the hash check above the firmware location please explain as it’s the other way round on the instructions pages example plist

The order does not matter. BCMC reads the firmware file into a kernel buffer before verifying the checksum you specify in the config.plist.

@Austere.J, or those guys who have it working: is AppleVTD deemed necessary for this solution? I am afraid, I cannot use DisableIOMapper=false due to other reasons....

This is a requirement from Apple's new Wi-Fi driver, which uses the IOMapper instance for DMA memory allocations.

Theoretically, it is possible to get rid of IOMMUs, but given how deeply coupled they are, this would involve a lot of research and patching.

If VT-d must be disabled for your production systems, I suggest you stay with macOS Sequoia or wait for OCLP to support Tahoe.

As I stated in the repo and the thread, BCMC is a prototype and is not intended for daily use in production systems.

A relatively straightforward way is to check the table of device identifiers in the Linux driver.

The card you posted is BCM4360. Note that BCM94360CS, BCM94360CS2 are not the same as BCM943602CS.

Nice, it's good to know that BCMC is still working on older system.

Note that AirDrop is not working even though System Information says it is supported, because I have disabled the hardware initialization in BCMC.

When I tested the driver, I could see my phone in the AirDrop menu, but sending a file or photo would fail.

Other continuity features that do not rely on AWDL should work if your bluetooth is working properly. If I remember it correctly, handoff was working when I tested it.

I assume that you changed the config related to IOMapper?

Which Ethernet card do you have and which driver are you using? Does it support AppleVTD?

Shocked to learn that IOMMUs are not available for such a high-end motherboard. Did you try to upgrade to the latest BIOS or contact ASUS for support?

Could you dump the kernel log by running the following command when your DW1830 is not working?

sudo dmesg | grep bcmc

No, you cannot. The firmware must be stored in a partition that is mounted when the driver starts.

EFI partitions are not mounted by default. Other APFS or HFS+ partitions might not be ready to use when the driver starts.

If you have multiple macOS installed, the best option is to store firmware in each system partition.

of course now that you've asked that, it'll be 3,000 reboots before I ever encounter it not working again.

suppose i should note there are no "bcmc" dmesg or log lines when the DW1830 IS working, either:

% sudo dmesg | grep -i bcmc

% log show --predicate 'process == "kernel"' --last boot | grep -i bcmc
%

I wonder if you can use the same technique employed by BrcmPatchRAM.  Something analogous to BrcmFirmwareData.
