fspkwonx86
are we supposed to keep the "US" country code for the card in our config.plist also is this dependent on the issued extensions IOSkywalkFamily.kext IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext and AirportBroadcomFixup.kext? i know airportbroadcomfixups a no<- but are the others required???????? i CAN just try it and see if it works without it OK disable the IOSKywalk Downgrade under the BLOCK section of your config.plist it'll say Enabled </true> change it to ENABLED </false> delete the entires for AirportBrcrm , IOSkywalkFamily, and IO80211FamilyLegacy , and it wont kernel panic and it will load and actually work! Is your device-I’d any of these two: 0x14E4, 0x43BA? You can use Terminal or Finder to copy the firmware file to the location, sudo cp /Path/to/Firmware.bin /usr/local/share/firmware/wifi/ Or with Finder press Shift-Command-G and enter /usr/local/share/firmware/wifi/ and then drag the firmware.bin file in. You'll need to enter your password to authorise the copy. Thank you. I want to try according to the return I will receive from you. Thank You! How can I copy the firmware files to the /usr/local/share/firmware/wifi/ location. Terminal said permission denied. Your BCM4350 is partially supported. As I stated in the Known Issues, you cannot connect to WPA/WPA2 protected access points at the moment, because the firmware does not support handling the four-way handshake. I need to add the support back via BCMC. Since BCMC is in public beta testing, you are welcome to give it a try and feel free to leave your feedback. The easiest way to copy the firmware file is using Finder. You can also do that using the `cp` command: sudo cp /path/to/your/firmware.bin /usr/local/share/firmware/wifi/ 12 hours ago, gsxb said: followed the instructions to the letter and nothing, it won't turn on still no wifi can someone check my config for mistakes my hack boots fine however no wificonfig.plist Would you mind identifying the device ID of your Wi-Fi chip? If it's 0x43A0, it is not supported by BCMC. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361710-broadcom-fullmac-wi-fi-support-on-macos-sonoma-sequoia-and-tahoe-without-root-patches/page/2/#findComment-2841446 Share on other sites

BCM43602 in iMac 2017 18,1 non-retina You don't need to keep the country code in your config.plist. Please refer to the Country Code section in the manual and decide which option suits your needs. The device properties needed by BCMC have nothing to do with the old wireless networking stack, and you should not enable those legacy kexts. Glad to hear that BCMC works for you on your iMac 2017. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361710-broadcom-fullmac-wi-fi-support-on-macos-sonoma-sequoia-and-tahoe-without-root-patches/page/2/#findComment-2841448 Share on other sites

kgp
@Austere.J, I just ordered for a few bugs a Broadcom BCM943602CDP and a BCM943602CDP WIFI WLAN Card to PCI-e 1x 16x Desktop PC WIFI Adapter for testing. Unfortunately, the latter will not arrive before 17 of October. Will it work? I'm using one of these adapters in my 14 inch Lifebook U749, can be found on Aliexpress. You just have to be careful with these, the 3.3V line in the cable is right next to ground - I almost fried my M.2 connector when the laptop case pressed on the ribbon cable with a small nipple 😅 There's also a M.2 card with BCM943602, the DELL DW1830 - but the DELL needs BluetoolFixup for it's BT, so it isn't fully Continuity Features compatible. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361710-broadcom-fullmac-wi-fi-support-on-macos-sonoma-sequoia-and-tahoe-without-root-patches/page/2/#findComment-2841500 Share on other sites
