Zevgoli
Ok. So I replaced my EFI folder with the one you supplied and rebooted. I got the message boot device not found and nothing. Couldn't get to the startup screen so i could clear NVRAM. Luckily I could boot in using my USB stick. Replaced the new EFI folder with the old from the stick and all is stable again. Can I clear the NVRAM before rebooting? Zevgoli
So I tried again. Same result. No boot device found on reboot. Unable to reset NVRAM via boot screen. Zevgoli
When I got the no boot device message I plugged in the USB stick and rebooted. This time I got the usual boot menu with one EFI listed. I presume this is the sticks EFI. Boot was normal. After getting to the desktop I used EFI agent to load the EFI of the boot volume. Deleted the EFI folder from it and copied and pasted the USB sticks EFI to it. Ejected and removed the USB installer stick and rebooted. Everything was normal afterwards and I got to the desktop. So the sticks EFI works perfectly. I have to conclude that the modified EFI folder does not work for some reason. Place Your EFI Folder Into That Fat32 Partitiion, if You Need To Adjust This EFI, Just Do As You Want. Beauty Of This Method Is NEVER Having To Mount The ESP Partition AGAIN This Trick Can Also Work With Multiple Fat32 Partitions On SSD/USB That Means You Can Have Say 5 EFI Folders In 5 Fat32 Partitions. Zevgoli
Hooray! I finally did it but it was the long way around. I created a brand new USB Sequoia 15.3 installer using the modified EFI folder that you so gracious created for me. Thank you! Inserted and installed the OS as normal. Then I migrated all my settings via Time Machine. On the desktop I inserted the new EFI folder onto the boot EFI partition and rebooted without the stick and I am now all good with 15.3. I also followed STLVNUB’s suggestion to create a small fat partition to hold the EFI folder just in case. So everyone thanks so much. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360584-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/2/#findComment-2830332 Share on other sites

miliuco
Updated with no issues. MacPro7,1 (revpatch=sbvmm in boot args to be notified of update). OpenCore 1.0.3. Intel Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, spoofing the Wi-Fi as Broadcom to use AirportItlwm.kext (Ventura version) on Sequoia, which requires OCLP root patch so the update was full size. So far everything seems to be working fine. 7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360584-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/2/#findComment-2830364 Share on other sites
