Hi guys

I have managed to get the wifi working under Ventura with a kext from within this thread.

How would i get it working under Sonoma on my second apfs partition on the same drive.

I am using one efi folder and config list between the two os.

On another note:

I am using the native wifi app and also noticed this morning that imessage is working on the wifi  (confused)

ventura has its own kext folder which is 13. For sonoma, its 14.

Use the intel kext for sonoma that can be found here https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm/releases

You can translate yourself easy all page from any language in your language. Just use the extension 'twp' for Firefox.

She's using Open Core. @logyon you need to provide details about your hack when asking questions.

@logyon

Upload here your config.plist. There is a way to have a single config.plist with 2 different AirportItlwm (one for Ventura and the other for Sonoma). Setting MinKernel and MaxKernel as desired.

Wow!!! I can not thank you enough. It indeed works now.
Can you explain me what you exactly did? I saw that you put some new kext into the EFI.

What do you mean is the change you did, that brought Bluetooth to life?
Just for my understanding!
I dropped you a PM...
I am really happy now.

I found two little Problems.
One is, AppleALC is not working, so no onboard sound. Maybe something to to with the next error?
Two errors in Validator:

Kernel->Add[0]->BundlePath contains illegal character!

Kernel->Add[3]->BundlePath contains illegal character!

CheckKernel returns 2 errors!

Completed validating /Volumes/EFI/EFI/OC/config.plist in 1 ms. Found 2 issues requiring attention.

So the Problems are with AirPort Utility.kext and Bluetooth File Exchange.kext.
Any Idea whats wrong there?

I will look into that tomorrow...

Hi @derpuma I talk with coder that create Kexts from Bluetooth and Airport to auxiliary and just rename free space from kexts and "error" from OCvalidate will fix that

God bless you all

Kexts names fixed in releases on GitHub

  • 3 weeks later...

Is the AX210 preferred over the AC 7265?  Only difference is the 7275 is dual band while the AX210 is 6E.

I've been using a Broadcom N.2 card on an Asus Z390 board for 5 years with no issue until Sonoma. Some people dispute that this could work but it did. I can't get the Broadcom card to work with the OLPC no matter what I do.

Do you think the N.2 version of the intel card will work?

I am in Sonoma and followed all the instructions for OCLP to get my original Broadcom card to work. Would you mind looking at my config  (not my serial) to see if I messed up? Been trying for 2 days. Really would like to preserve my continuity functions.

I tried to drop my EFI but it's larger than 10mb.

Sorry, it's a OEM Dell Wireless DW1560 802.11ac Broadcom BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF WIFI Card

Did you see this on the patcher

@Modmike

Can you get the device-id?

These are OCLP root patch compatible:

  • Not needing AirportBrcmFixup:
    • device-id 12e4,43ba >> BCM43602
    • device-id 12e4,43e3 >> BCM4350
    • device-id 12e4,43a0 >> BCM4360 (Fenvi cards)
    • device-id 12e4,4331 >> BCM94331
    • device-id 12e4,4353 >> BCM943224.
  • Needing AirportBrcmFixup:
    • device-id 12e4,4357 >> BCM43225
    • device-id 12e4,43B1 >> BCM4352
    • device-id 12e4,43B2 >> BCM4352 (2.4 GHz).

It's a Dell 1560 card with a Broadcom BCM94352Z. I looked it up and chipset BCM4352 so it looks like I need it. I kind of thought so because I needed to load the firmware into it previously. Sorry about the bold, can't seem to remove it when I copy paste from another source.

I will try again.

@miliuco Super frustrated, trying to get this to work for 1 week. Can you take a look at my kext list and let me know if they are in the right order and which ones I don't need? As mentioned before, my Broadcom is a BCM4352. I know some are disabled but I also tested enabled, neither way worked.. I suspect the airportbrcm are in the wrong order. I previously need the brcmpatchram3 so I left those in.
