Hi, If you have BlueToolFixup.kext installed try disabling it in your config.plist, rebooting and reset NVRAM. Re-enable after the install finishes.

Also this can happen if you're running short on disk space, but you should get a message to that effect.

In my Dell Latitude E6410 testing, I was finding some macOS install problems that ultimately turned out to be fixed by Devs with an updated RestrictEvents.kext 1.1.3.  Note that the RestrictEvents.kext release notes now mention the need for boot-arg -no_compat_check.  This boot-arg is required on my HackBookPro6,2 when performing clean installs of macOS.  YMMV.

it goes very well, but this CPU is very hot, it consumes 315w in cinebench R23 🫣

Good to see it's working without hassle despite the fact that 14th gen is totally pointless for me...not to mention the 0 improvement in power efficiency. Don't want to be a hater, small steps should be cheered, too :)

That's very impressive.

Hot CPU is most likely due to the lack of 14th Gen CPU/Chipset power management support in macOS.

No way!1!, the same is in windows 😆

What happens is that Intel has tightened them as much as possible.

Mine goes to 5.5Ghz from stock, I have set it to 5.7Ghz 😆

But it's the same in windows.

In OCCT AVX2 reaches 400w at 5.7Ghz@1.240v 🤪

The 13900k and 14900k, well... they consume a lot, it is normal for them to heat up

@PoMpIs and @CloverLeaf Impressive!  Looks like you should be able to squeeze out another 4GHz 🤣

What are people using now to monitor systems with the intel power gadget being removed and discontinued?

I recently got my hands on a 11th and 12th gen intel cpu in the form of 2 Lenovo laptops. Do we have a way to use the iris graphics as of yet? The 12th gen also has nvidia graphics but I know that’s pointless.

There are HWMonitorSMC and HWMonitorSMC2 still working under Sonoma.

Hi :)

I have several z790, but I put this one on the Asus Z790F Gaming.

The power supply is an EVGA Supernova 750 G2
