@eSaF

If you don't have Xcode, try this command line app running it in a folder (e.g. Desktop):

/Users/yo/Desktop > chmod +x Metalgpu14
/Users/yo/Desktop > ./Metalgpu14
All credits go to ricoc90
AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT supports Metal3
Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 supports Metal3

Post your output, please.

Thanks @miliuco The script show up only dGPU RX 580, not Intel UHD 630 (Z390, SMBIOS iMac20,1 - Clover)

I don't know why @eSaF gets unreadable data or @Matgen84 only gets dGPU but this output of @eng_redaesm is what I expect to get. Anyway, here we see that RX580 is metal 2 but Intel UHD 630 is metal 3, this is my guess when About This Hack shows RX580 as metal3, RX580 info is "contaminated" by the iGPU info.

Yeah, when you inject enable-metal property for the iGPU, the system info will say “metal 3”  instead of “supported”  even if you have only metal 2 supported GPUs as your primary GPU. Once you remove the enable-metal, it will be shown as “supported” again.

Wanted to shoutout miliuco's posts about amfipass.kext. Grabbed it from one of his prebuilt EFIs and used it on my system. I knew whatsapp didn't work with AMFI disabled, but it turns out my hunch about it breaking Steam was also true.

That said, anyone know why there's no git repo for it? Where can we build it officially if it updates? Is it OCLP exclusive?

i use only amfi=0x80 boot arg and it is working well as in the past

When I used this method, WhatsApp and Firefox did not work.  That's the reason for using the amfipass.kext.

AMFIPass.kext has been developed by the OCLP team and is included into the OCLP package. This is the official source.

You can get it from the source, and check if there is a new version. It's the way that devs offer it for now.

Yes that EFI work for me but the problem is airdrop from Mac to iPhone.

Open Airdrop from iPhone and send again the file...

Did you saw my video? Just like that...

To get small incremental OTA Update, you need boot-arg revpatch=sbvmm and RestrictEvents.kext.

@ameenjuz

  • Systems that have not been patched by OCLP (or the patch has been reverted), whether the SMBIOS model has a T2 chip or not, require revpatch=sbvmm in boot-args along with RestrictEvents.kext for incremental updates. Without this setting, they get full upgrade packages
  • All systems that have the OCLP root patch applied receive full-size updates.

@CloverLeaf

What SMBIOS model do you have? Do you say that you are notified of delta updates, not full size, without RestrictEvents?

@eSaF
What CloverLeaf says does not match part of my post. Maybe I have to modify this approach.

Well, since your system is detected as a currently supported Mac you don't need it. But if you would disable/lower SIP, you would need it to get notified about system updates.

I use iMacPro1,1 with SIP fully enabled.

Thanks, but I think it's related to AMD GCN instead of USB 1.1.

Because I run the same OCLP for Intel Haswell & Modern Wireless patches in my Z97 Hackintosh, it works perfectly without such an issue.

[Edit]

I can confirm that it's due to OCLP's patch of AMD Legacy GCN instead of USB 1.1.

I have made a special OCLP 0.6.9 without USB 1.1 patch. After OCLP patch of AMD legacy GCN only in my P6TSE hackintosh, reboot always got KP of the same type ! I believe if run OCLP patch of AMD GCN in my Z77 hackintosh it will get the same KP again.

For example in my another hackintosh which had Kepler GPU can reboot without this KP after OCLP applied. Another possibility is no KDK required in this hackintosh of i5-6500 CPU.

Since Apple published KDK of 14.1 my Z77 hackintosh can boot 14.1 beta2 successfully now.

[Edit]

Unfortunately this ASUS Z77 MB expired on 2023-10-09, that means no more update info for this Z77 hackintosh !
