Great news!

OCLP is ON!

The latest commit works great on my 2014 iMac (iMac15,1) I can see the WiFi networks around me but can't connect to them (yet) just might need to do a clean install so it might be an issue on my end.

Great work guys, Kudos to you all for making it possible.

A note from @dhinakg to read before using OCLP:

https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/pull/1077#issuecomment-1646934494

"Hackintosh notes

While the project is designed for legacy Mac hardware, we know the community is quite interested in our development of Broadcom patches. For those who wish to use the Broadcom patches on non-standard machines such as Hackintoshes, see below:

Enabling Patching support for modern Broadcom Cards (Click to Expand)

To use our current patches, you'll need to ensure the following:

System Integrity Protection is set to 0x803csr-active-config | data | 03080000

Reset NVRAM or add csr-active-config to Delete to ensure the new variable is set

AMFI is disabled

boot-args | string | amfi=0x80

Secure Boot Model is set to Disabled

Following kexts are blocked:

com.apple.iokit.IOSkywalkFamily (Reference)

Set MinKernel to 23.0.0 to ensure patches only apply on Sonoma

Following kexts are injected:

IOSkywalk.kext

IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext

Kext has a child, AirPortBrcmNIC.kext, ensure this is injected as well

Set MinKernel to 23.0.0 to ensure patches only apply on Sonoma

Once these are injected, you can run OpenCore-Patcher's Post-Install option and root patch. On reboot, Wireless support should be restored assuming your machine was configured correctly to the above."

Mine, patched..but not showing available Networks

Something's not right, I haven't got to the hackintosh side yet, but before the last commit I had the same issue with my iMac.

I get kernel panic when booting Sonoma after adding those kexts and min kernel values, if I turn off those kexts, then I can boot Sonoma

You need to set "Strategy" of the blocked kext to "Exclude"

With the latest commit I have WiFi and AirDrop Working.

If you can't connect to WiFi Networks from the menu bar use the System Preferences -> WiFi to connect

How?? This kext is causing Sonoma not to boot for me, I turn this off and I can boot and run the patch but no wifi, maybe because of this kext turned off

You should...add AirportBrcmFixup and delete the plugins it. That is what worked for me.

Below is the kexts I have.

@Cyberdevs So you only have Child AirPortBrcmNIC.kext loaded? Did you also keep the IOSkywalkFamily.kext enabled

@surenmunoo and

You need to use only one of those kexts not both

@ichelash

I used the child kext inside the IO80211FamiliyLegacy.kext it works too.

Mine using only io8021..doesn’t work

@surenmunoo

i don’t have minkernel set because i only use that EFI for Sonoma. Just for testing purposes. If you want to use the same EFI for Monterey and Ventura you need to set it so it won’t mess up your other OSes

Its gotta be another issue on your end. Build from the last commit and try again. Revert the root patches and apply them again.

@matgeo

you need to build it from the GitHub repo. The finalized build is over 1 GB so it can't be posted here.

Guys I’m on my way to work. I’ll get back to you if I can.

In the mean while use the last commit to make sure it’s not a bug in your current build because it got updated few hours ago again that’s what made mine work.

Remember OCLP for Sonoma is in constant development and you need to update it frequently.

Would anyone be so kind as to write a dummies guide for OCLP and Broadcom wifi.

I cannot seem to see which kexts go where, where to get said kexts etc..

Maybe I am just tired and looking into this tomorrow will be best for me.

Same, getting the right combinations to get Sonoma to boot for me with these added kexts is proving difficult
