Thank you. This made switching to OpenCore super easy, however I'm having one issue with the USB-C port on the back. When using it for my iPad Pro, the iPad doesn't show up in Finder. Weirdly enough, Sidecar still works. Switching to one of the other USB ports solves this, and I can use both Sidecar and access my iPad through Finder.

KASLR. Stop using Clover if you want a 100% reliable boot process, failing that, calculate your slide value if you want an additional level of operability for the macOS kernel.

Just wanted to say thanks for the Opencore setup.

 

I thought i would spend hours being frustrated as i read multi booting can be a pain. However i am shocked at how easy it was first of all to switch from clover to opencore (i only got a re-sign in error guess cos i never had a MLB key in clover so did not set one in OC) however sign in and all syncing fine.

 

Was then surprised to see the retro gaming Windows setup appear in boot options with no fiddling (separate NVME drive). Main Windows was missing, but just copied the microsoft folder from efi backup to main OC efi, rebooted and boom now have 2 windows installs showing.

 

The holy grail for me which for some reason i kept borking on Clover was getting linux to show. However just installed Ubuntu 20 to a separate SSD and after realising i kept plugging the ssd in Sata 4 or 5 which wont show once you reconnec  2 NVME drives in (0-3 only) Opencore immediately showed all 4 OS.

 

yes it shows it as no name instead of Ubuntu but im not worried about Cosmetics.

 

So i must firstly thank you guys for the smoothest of setups both originally on Clover but especially on OpenCore, however i must alas berate you at the same time, as i was all geared up to be in a stressed mode this afternoon, ready to have a serious gym work out by throwing my build around the room until it decided it was best to just start working, you took that from me by doing such a bloody good job, so instead i now have to play rage against the machine extremely loud and find something else to rage about.:w00t:

You know it really is something when you find that your Hackintosh build works a lot better than a genuine licensed copy of Windows 10 on the same PC hardware. 

 

Speaks volumes to the dedication of the OpenCore team and the folks on here

 

...........I only came to that realisation today. :)

Same to me ...ipad is charging but not shown in finder.

I see that it's related to GPU. Mine is Gigabyte RX580.

 

Another question:

Is it save to remove the PCI device entry for the Samsung Nvme? Because I don't own one. Have 2 WD Black Nvme's inside.

If you're using the correct OC Folder pertaining to your specs i.e for the RX580 you should be good to go, just insure you are running the latest kext versions as this can have an adverse effect on the operation of your system. The entries in the PCI section are only cosmetic and has no real effect on the running of the system and yes the entry for Samsung NvME can be removed. If you want to properly display your make of NvME, use 'Hackintool' for that purpose. Good luck.

I had the same KP's with Audiogod's Clover EFI, and the old ones, and the last one, now same with OC. Im still using F11, maybe need to give F12d a try. Also CFG is still locked in BIOS.

 

But with OC I don't have mouse lagging after inserting USB device like HDD or stick as I had with Clover.

 

And still need to figure out how to add my Arch to boot menu.

 

EDIT: Also some USB devices not recognized.

 

EDIT 2: Used another USB port at the back(USB3) and now devices are recognized again, and the mouse freezing is back :(

I've installed a PCI wifi card BCM94360CS2 

Since I installed I have no sleep.

 

I connected it to F_USB1 and to the F_USB2 connector and the behaviour is the same. 

 

Computer goes to sleep and automatically turns back.

 

Is there a way to prevent this?

 

Looking on the HAckintool I see that the port HS11 is set up as USB2. Shouldn't be configured as "INTERNAL"

added keepsyms=1 to boot args. Maybe someone understands more than I do what causes the KP.

 

To note: I have 3 4K displays connected to the GPU via DP cable. I have tried to lower the resolution, but got KP again.

Using Clover EFI for now.

 

Please, help me. It's getting really annoying.

The sleep section in hackintool is correct. 

Computer was sleeping with no problem withouth the connector attached to HS11. At the moment I disconnected it and it is sleeping with no probl. 

It's that connector configuration. It shows in hackintool as this:

The HS11 port is the internal one. Where I attach the BT card. Shouldn't it be Internal instead of USB2?????

No cooling system at all. I've configured the machine as similar as AudioGod's as possible. Only different thing is this card. 

AudioGods if I'm not mistaken based this build in GlassGoods build. On GlassGoods they mention the exact same card and they say the connect it to the USB2 Head in the MB. I did it but probably the USB configuration in the Glasgood is different (also if I'm not mistaken they used clover instead of opencore)

But I must recognize that I used AudioGods files, I digged a little bit in them as I wanted to know how to configure at least the basic stuff, but I don't know how to solve this USB issue

Facepalm. EFIs that have SSDTs are BIOS dependent. Update and remove CFG using the modified grub shell or through a modified firmware for your board. Your system is broken and it will only get worse the longer you inexplicably decide to ignore the guidelines listed in the first post. 

 

Rather than poking when around, just follow the guidelines set my AG... TO A TEE.

Привет. Подскажите пожалуйста, как включить Kernel PM? Он не светится в активном клевере для прессования.
До этого я сидел на Siera с 1060 strix oc и все работало. Теперь я заменил его на 5500xt Gigabate 8oc. Установлена каталина 10.15.6. MSR не разблокировал его. Теперь все тоже работает, спи тоже. Поскольку AudioDod приказал установить Kernel PM, я не могу этого сделать.

@freakermonguer BCM94360CS2 Has trouble with sleep and Catalina.

you need to use RTCMemoryFixup from Acidanthera to correct it if it can be corrected at all (it’s pcie adaptor dependent)

Are you sure of this? I have no problem at all if the card is connected to the PCI. At this moment it is. The problem is when I connect it to the internal USB headers. 

I've read the one of the problems is that osx expects Bluetooth to be internal, and the USB internal ports are set up as USB2 instead of internal.

 

And I think it's a USb configuration problem. But I don't have a clue where on the opencore plist to configure the port as "internal" instead of "usb2" - if it's configured there.

Yes keep it enabled in the bios and also in powersaving in settings.

wake on lan can behave erratically and be woken up by things like your iPhone or iPad screen waking or your Apple Watch when you look at it but AirportBRCMfixup.kext can Help with that and settle it down.

Yes I am sure about this. I wouldn’t say it if I wasn’t.

also it should indeed be set too internal not usb2 but that won’t cure the problem probbaly. (HS11=internal and HS13=USB2)

again it’s pcie adaptor dependent and yes it’s the bluetooth that causes the wake.

 

Side Note - I’m referring to OpenCore here as my clover EFI doesn’t work right with hackintool as Usb is being done via the ssdt and DSDT to give you native usb with no port limit. You can change this if you prefer to make it with a kext and 15 port limit.

Anyone having any issues updating to 10.15.6 using OC 0.5.9? I have tried to install through the App Store and using Combo Update. Both methods bring me to my computer restarting to the installer and then I get a failed message and a log (attached below).  I hope someone else has some insight to this.
