Seriously @Olas have you ever generated your own set of details for Catalina so you have a serial number a uuid and a MLB and placed then into OpenCore?

this is very important.

My PC :
MB : Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro WiFi (F12c) | CPU : i9-9900K (@3.60 GHz) | GPU : ASUS Dual - OC - RX 580 8GB |  RAM : Kingston HyperX RGB (64 GB) | SSD : Samsung SSD 970 Pro (1TB)  Thunderbolt 3 : GC-Titan Ridge |  OS : OSX 10.15.4 & Windows 10 Pro

@Olas copy this EFI onto the EFI Partition replacing the old one when asked and restart.

don't change anything or add anything just use the EFI within the folder im sending you and all of its contents.

I have generated new details for you so you now have a proper serial number, uuid and mlb so from now on use them in future.

@Praetorianus Same deal for you too fella, don’t try and use your own config.plist for OpenCore and instead use my one that’s included with my EfI but if however your using your own EFI made yourself then use the same booter quirks as I posted a post ago but if using real OpenCore do not add the EnableForAll entry as this is strictly for NDKs version only.

Either use my config.list that’s included inside my NDK EFI and just add your details to it or send me your config.plist and I will edit it for you.

@Olas thinking about it you must start again and download my NDK EFI and use everything that’s inside it including the plist and go into it and just add your serial number, uuid, mlb and Rom (mac address)

the config.plist for OpenCore and for NDK OpenCore are very different and so is the ACPI and files within it.

Dear AudioGod,

I'm using your pure opencore config.plist. I just added the serial number, UUID and etc. I chose to put the NDK boot picker and did it as follows. I downloaded the NdkBootPicker.efi and placed it in the folder Drivres. Then in your config.plist I removed the # in drivers section from his entry. Finally, I added the "External" argument in PickerMode in Boot -> Misc section. However, I confess that I had not tested the windows boot with its pure opencore without using ndk as a bootpicker, but I believe it would have no relation to that, since ndkpickerboot is only functioning as an improved boot interface for pure opencore. But as I am a beginner, I may be mistaken ...

The Config.plist for OpenCore and for NDK OpenCore are very different and use different settings and also my NDK OC uses a DSDT where as original OpenCore doesn't so the ACPI is totally different too.

Download my NDK OpenCore EFI again and this time use the entire EFI including the config.plist and just copy your details into it (SN, UUID and MLB) and it will work beautifully for you buddy.

ANYBODY PLAYING AROUND WITH MY EFIs AND JUMPING FROM VERSION TO VERSION TRYING THEM OUT THEN PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO 2 EFIs ARE THE SAME SO IF YOUR TRYING OPENCORE AND THEN CHANGE OVER TO MY NDK VERSION OF OPENCORE YOU MUST REPLACE THE ENTIRE FOLDER INCLUDING THE CONFIG.PLIST AND THE EFIs ENTIRE CONTENTS.

THERE IS SIMPLY NO LAZY WAY AROUND THIS AS UNLIKE CLOVER OPENCORE AND NDK OPENCORE ARE UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND STILL IN THERE BETA PHASE. THIS MEANS THAT HOW THEY WORK AND HOW THEY ARE CONFIGURED IS ALWAYS CHANGING WITH EVERY VERSION THAT PASSES SO THIS MEANS THERE IS NO LAZY SOLUTION AND COPYING YOUR CONFIG.PLIST FROM OPENCORE TO NDK OPENCORE OR FROM A OLDER VERSION OF OPENCORE IS SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION.

I HOPE THIS CLEARS THINGS UP FOR ALL THEM PEOPLE OUT THERE WONDERING WHY NDK OPENCORE DOESN'T WORK FOR THEM OR WINDOWS WONT BOOT.

IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT FOR BEING LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!

@AudioGod Thank you for your hard work building this extensive guide to open core boot loader.

I will be using it in my new build. and it will be a bit learning curve. but its all part of building a hackintosh  people need to remember its a HACK. and not a easy fix  plug and play

we all have to learn how it works to fix it.

but over the years people seem to want to been spoon feed every thing which is a shame.

thanks again for your time and effort

Is SSDT-PM.aml from AudioGod the same as SSDT-PMC.aml from OC official guide, but with different names ?

They are two different sizes. I was just wondering what's the difference?

Thanks

No they are slightly different and the PM version is better suited for The Z390 pro

I use the more standard SSDT-PMC on the Z390 Master.

Thanks, I have tried both  they both works for imac 19.1

somehow, the complete OC set I have build myself does not show small apple logo during boot.

(cannot get the right resolution during boot . menu is big, apple logo is big.  )

toward the end, apple logo and resolution get changs to the right size )

When I used your set with my own update , I can get the screen resolution working properly ..

I don't know why, I have been testing it all day, still no answer..

all my files are good with the Z390 Pro WiFi, I even have a pro WiFi MSR Unlocked profile up on here now for people to use. And thanks for kind words buddy, :thumbsup_anim:

little tip, if your not already then copy my ACPI and booter quirks from my config. They are spot on for 19,1 and the igpu enabled or even for 1,1.

By the way, Can your USB ports charge iPad without SSDT-EC-USBX?

also, I can't get bluetooth keyboard or trackpad to wake up the system..

this seems to be very common, do you know if there is a solution for this?

I wouldn't have even thought of that. It would have been nice if the installer at least gave me a dialog box or a readme.txt tell me this! The driver installer behaves more like a Trojan Horse.

Yep I know what you mean, the install looks very dodgy!. Re installing via the MS store, I cant claim credit for that, found that little nugget out from trying to find alternative drivers & firmware.

19 hours ago, AudioGod said:

Hey buddy,

If your going to downgrade the Firmware then make sure you use the correct DSDT to go with it.

you can find all the older DSDTs on page one. :)
That is unless your using Original OpenCore and then as it uses no DSDT it doesn’t matter.

Hey AG, so downgrading to F11 Bios was a bust, reboot issues were still present & I dont like the bios as much as F12, seems there are few cold boot issues and other minor weirdness. F12 seems more refined.

However there is some good news, I've managed to narrow down what is causing the issue and it's my Titan Ridge card and more specifically when my LG UltraFine 5K monitor is connected to it! Remove these from the system and all is good, it'll reboot with no stalls, hangs or anything all day long. Connect the LG 5K backup and immeadiately the issues reappear.

So if anyone has a set up like mine, with a LG Ultrafine 27" 5K monitor connected via displayport & Titan Ridge card then can they please tell me if they have issues & what their bios settings are.
