Waiting with bated breath for OC 0.5.7 update from the guru @AudioGod :thumbsup_anim:

It’s coming anytime now, I just finished updating the master thread and I’m moving over to here soon to do the same thing.

OC and NDK OC 057 plus kext updates and clover updates. It’s been a long few days.

Soon Come ;)

Clover, OpenCore, N-D-K OpenCore EFI Updates (10.15.4 Ready), 6th April 2020

(Use With Bios Revision F12d)

The EFIs and DSDTs have now been updated to the my latest versions.

Changes made include,

WhateverGreen 1.3.8

VirtualSMC 1.1.2

Clover Updated to Revision 5108

OpenCore Updated to Revision 0.5.7

Alternative EFI - OpenCore, No DSDT and Done the way OpenCore intended it 6th April 2020

Myself and @texem have now created a OpenCore EFI done the way the OpenCore Devs intended it to be made, There is no DSDT in use so you can use this EFI on any supported GPU and the SSDTs have been made so they will not be used in any other Operating System apart from MacOS.

OC 057 Z390 Pro EFI 19,1 060420.zip - OpenCore v0.5.7, SMBios iMac19,1 (06/04/20)

OC 057 Z390 Pro EFI 1,1 060420.zip - OpenCore v0.5.7, SMBios iMacPro1,1 (06/04/20) (igpu disabled)

Note - If your not using a 5700 XT or any other Navi GPU then remove agdpmod=pikera from the boot arguments.

Alternative EFI 2 - N-D-K Fork of OpenCore 6th April 2020 Use with Bios revision F12d Only or Replace with the older F11 DSDT if you don't want to update the bios.

NDK gives you a nice UI Boot Screen Menu  like Clover whilst the OC version is just plain text on a black background (NDK version is eye candy basically).

@pkdesign NDKs fork also allows you to bypass ACPI, Patches and Device Properties allowing you to use a dsdt and not mess up windows or Linux in the process.

Real OpenCore doesn’t use a DSDT and relies on other methods to get things done.

They are both very very good as is Clover, we are spoilt for choice now and that’s a great thing I think. :)

Ah, so since I dual boot Win10 I need to use NDK fork.

Alternative EFI 2 - N-D-K Fork of OpenCore 6th April 2020

It stops and does not work
Does it need to be modified by BIOS?

It should work just fine, I’m talking to somebody now via message that’s using the very same EFI with no problem.

somebody will help you out, I’m having a time out for a few hours as I have done so much work for you guys and the thread for the past few days that I need a rest. sorry buddy

@Olas Check the install notes for OpenCore as it sounds to me that your trying to run OpenCore with a locked MSR so either unlock it or make the changes to OpenCore so you can run with a locked MSR, there’s big colourful diagrams showing how so please do a little research on my thread or the guide itself for the answer instead of spamming here being lazy.

Thanks everyone for this amazing work, I found z390 hard to set up and you guys are absolutely rockstars.

In my case,  It was kernel panicking, reading the logs the only weirs thin that I saw was something like "Refusing kernel extension Lilu.x.x already loaded Lilu.y.y" I can confirm this is happening with both NDF  fork, and Open Core  I have to disable those (Seems that they are already package on OpenCore ?) and after that, the system move forward without those errors.

Now I'm stuck at several "HID: Legacy Shim 2"  loops eventually screen goes black and never boots, have to research  a little bit more about it:

I have Radeon VII

Core i9 9900k

Aourus pro wifi 12c BIOS

Thunderbolt titan ridge card

Any help is appreciated

Now you see if you said that from the beginning I would of told you to remove it.

corsair link borks macOS and macOS does not understand it and has no use for it and the only time that connection has any importance is when your in windows with the icue software open otherwise it does nothing so go ahead and disconnect the psu usb header and sleep will work fine and just reconnect it for those extremely rare and pointless moments that you may need to use it.

I have overclocked more systems then I have had hot dinners and I have never in my life needed to monitor a psu via the Corsair link software and if I did need to do something like that because im using liquid nitrogen then you use a scope at the mains and not Corsair link. It’s nothing more then a toy tbh and no more useful then just using HWINFO.

Also HS11 is a hub not two separate connections so no you can not disable one and keep the other enabled I’m afraid. There used to be a patch available to resolve it with a Corsair AIO but that stopped working with the release of Catalina.

Thank you so much, my friend. You are very kindly to share your time and knowledge with us. One more question: in the glassgod guide  there is a patch that can be applied allowing the use of the AIO without generating the instant wake, the only one however is that for the mac wake up you need to press the power button. Is this tweak still functional?

Thank you so much, again!

I think you need to decide for yourself which EFI you need by reading the descriptions provided. It is very clear based on the information that @AudioGod provides. You just need to read it. People are more than willing to help, but it is expected that you take the initiative yourself to read and investigate on your own first.

For instance, I have the same motherboard as you and I have posted many times about what settings I use and when I update a component and whether it works or not.

If Clover works, then you should continue to use it. That is what I use.

FYI, you need to put your system specs in your signature and not post it each time.

Why are you not reading the guide on the main page or update notes as it’s all there for you on how to do step by step.

Please do some research by reading page one at least once as every single thing you have asked today you could of answered for yourself if you were less dependent and lazy, (this is the third time you have been told this today too)

Seeing you can’t be bothered to look for yourself a shall copy and Paste over the info you need to do what you need to do.

CFG Unlock (MSR) F12d (F12c Pro WIFI)

F12c Unlock.zip - Use with Z390 Pro WIFI Bios Revision F12c ONLY

1 - Download the profile and save it to a USB Key

2 - Go into the bios,

3 - Load the profile,

4 - Save and exit

5 - Go straight back into the bios and save your bios to a new profile and name it Default CFG Unlocked or something like that.

6 - Boot back into Catalina go into your clover config and under Kernal and Kext Patches Uncheck KernalPM

7 - Save the changes and then restart and your done, your motherboard will now be CFG (MSR) Unlocked

PLEASE NOTE - If you reset the bios or load bios defaults it will clear the Unlock making CFG Locked again.

or you can just do this instead

PLEASE NOTE - The OpenCore including NDK OC EFIs are setup to be used with your msr Unlocked so make sure you use the F11c Unlocked Profile but if for any reason you can not unlock MSR then just modify following in the OpenCore config.plist :
