What did you change ?

That panic looks related to the NVME driver... Maybe try booting with -x and rebuilding the kernel caches or if your have an NVME kext in the EFI remove it.. Not sure what your setup is if your using NVME or not..

I haven't changed anything.
It is the second time in a few months that he gives me this error.
In the following restarts everything ok.
I don't have any kext for NVME.

Ahhh texem there you are.

Where are the files and the process for flashing the Titan Ridge? I saw you mentioned that some time ago but couldnt find the info.

That could also be added on the main page!

Ahh i see, you mean the DSM2 mod for the old mac pro's? I saw that you need an eeprom flasher for that. Too risky for the average user i believe unless i missed something.

yes, unfortunately you need a flash tool or someone in your area who can help you with flashing the DSM firmware.

I thought so mate, i also read that people having firmware above 23 have connecting problems on real macs. I dont know if this applies tour boards but luckily i am on 23 and will stay there as long as it works.

I think anyone that has different devices with thunderbolt connection should report before we writh guide.

I only have my fw400 card connected via

Tb3 to tb2 adapter, then tb to fw800 adapter, then fw800 to fw400 cable. Before i use the ssdt and do the correct bios settings AFTER i have installed the driver in windows, i had signal loss of the audio card. Now works great. I dont have any TB camera or disk to test.

Not sure I understand. You have a FW400 [sound] card in an external enclosure connected to your Titan Ridge card using series of adapters: Sound Card (external) -> FW400 -> FW800 -> TB2 -> TB3 -> Titan Ridge Card.

I think I'll try to connect the MBP target disc on the Windows side just to see if it works at all. I'll have to reinstall the driver, because I had to reinstall Windows to get the boot manager on the same disk as the OS. If it works, it will at least tell me the disk is not readable by Windows. I'll double check my BIOS settings as well.

In meantime, I'll have see if I have a USB cable on hand for my scanner if I need it later.

Yes thats what i did and no problems!! I was surprised though with so much protocol conversion that it worked! Check your firmware version on windows if it is the same as mine

did you flash your Titan Ridge with the modified binary or is it stock fw ?

Stock. I remember discussing this with you earlier; I confessed to being too chicken to do it (still am), but if I'll do it as a last resort. dsynos80 was able to get it to work without it, so I'm following his lead.

Unfortunately, I didn't download the firmware and forgot to bookmark the site. I quick lookup pointed me to create.pro that has firmware the will allow Titan Ridge to work with a Mac Pro 5,1?

Which flash utility did you use?

Here goes. Let me know if the Titan Ridge card works for you, and what device you are testing it with. If it does, it might be a problem with TB Target Disc Mode and not the card itself.

I just don't have a good positive control to evaluate my results.

"KeeYees SOP8 SOIC8 Test Clip for EEPROM 25CXX / 24CXX with CH341A 24 25 Series EEPROM Flash Bios USB Programmer" f.i. but it needs a modification for 3,3 volts.

Be careful as there is a bug in OCQuirks 20.1 so stick to 20 flat for now please.

Audiogod,  I cannot Pm with Files attached so i am posting the guide here and you can delete the post afterwards

modify it as you see fit!

1: Install Gc_Titan Ridge Card in the BOTTOM slot.

2: Boot to Windows

3: Download and install the driver from Gigabyte. Correct version is 17.4.77.400

4: Reboot to Windows, then reboot to BIOS.

5: In IO Ports Menu you should now have the Thunderbolt Configuration Options

6: Enter the Correct Settings as seen in the images.

7: Reboot to Windows and go on the taskbar at the About entry of the Thunderbolt driver, it should be seen as the image provided.

8: Boot to Osx

9: Place the SSDT on Clover/ACPI/patched

10: Reboot to Osx

11: All Done!!

The magic and mystery of hackintoshing.

I have never been able to get sleep to work properly. I updated to Clover 5018 last week--nothing else, no kexts or config changes or alterations--and voila, sleep now works properly. No issue whatsoever. Disks eject (with the help of Jettison) and remount with no complaints.

Ah the life of a hackintosher!

how would I go about dual booting win 10?

have a spare ssd to install onto, don'twant to mess up my Catalina install as its working 100% currently.

just wanna play some games.

I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a different SSD.

You can install this just like the standard procedure of installing W10, but make sure only this SSD (during installation) is connected to the motherboard!

You can disable other HDD's or SSD's in the BIOS.

When install is finished just connect the Hackintosch SSD/NVME SSD again and boot, you can choose Windows or macOS.

I have a question about this Windows installation:

I can disable other SATA ports in the BIOS, but I cannot disable the NVME/M.2 SSD on the motherboard?

I tried to install Windows multiple times but I couldn't get it to work, the problem was that the NVME/M.2 SSD was still connected.

Is there another way to disable the NVME/M.2 SSD besides removing it physically from the motherboard?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

I already installed catalina on my setup:

z390 aorus pro
i7 9700k

gigabyte rx580

32gb ram
nzxt kraken x42

and i have some troubles:

- After putting him to sleep, he wakes up instantly... I already started the procedure at the beginning of the topic, but I was unsuccessful.
- My disk with windows, it's gone. I can´t see on BIOS to boot

my hackintosh is almost 100%.

Someone help-me?
sorry my bad english :poster_oops:
