sign out of iCloud if your signed into it as this has different details setup for you already.

Hello @AudioGod, i'm testing without RX 5700 XT, because it works several hours or days, but sometimes when i start videos, 3d, or any other thing, the screen freezes, i can move the mouse, but nothing response, connecting remotely by ssh, the pc works, but de interface is freeze, only the mouse move. Minutes later, the wathdog fires a timeout panic. I like to know if the problem is the RX 5700 XT. I had this problem with BIOS F11, and now with F12 occurs more times.

 

 

My configuration:

    - Aorus z390 PRO (no WIFI)

    - Memory 32GB corsair Vengance 3000Mhz

    - Intel i7 9700K

    - Power: Bequiet 850W

    - SSD: samsung M2 EVO 970

 

I have tested IGPU version without RX 5700 XT, but like @Olion, catalina starts with any usb response, the mouse have light but no response in any usb port.

 

Also, i have tested the Olion EFI igpu only.zip, with the same result,

The 5700xt drivers are useless at the moment and it’s a Apple problem not a hack problem so until they resolve it with better drivers there’s not much you can do tbh.

Ohhhh, the 5700 xt was the most expensive component . I will wait for it to work with the IGPU, but i need to resolve USB issue, thanks for your help

The 5700 xt works well enough that you should be able to use it just fine really. Just don’t use smbios 1,1 and the crashes will be rare if at all.

i have used your last published version, Z390 Pro Navi Vega Clover EFI 140220.zip  with any changes.

 

i have just tested the IGPU version with USBInjectAll kext and now USB its working. But many times the boot fails with allocating memory error:

 

ERROR: allocating 0x11969 pages at 0x000000000000727d000 allot type 2

Couldn't allocate runtime area

Try this EFI from Velopitex https://yadi.sk/d/h1FN_BP5ReaUzA works fine with igpu only.

I would take a look at your system in that case as my hd630 Efi has been downloaded over 300 times since its release and most people are happy apart from the odd few. I can’t work wonders and make everything perfect for everybody so I tend to work on a many versus few rule. I just tried the linked EFi from. @mariodj and that works fine on my test bench too.

still though il have more news later once I’ve spoken to a few people on my side.

That's why I removed all unnecessary components (WIFI, GPU, ...), I'm going to reflash and review bios parameters...

Its hard to believe but it works :))) I got 2 ssd-s (windows10 and osx) and DVD drive. Just unplugged the DVD drive and no reboots since few hours

 Glad I helped.

 

Unfortunately I cannot help you about how to make it work. If a DVD drive is essential to you, try connecting it to a different SATA port. Other than that I have no idea as I haven’t used optical disks the past 5-7 years.

Just to add, why dont you buy a usb drive instead and just get one that’s MacOS compatible OTB, DVD burners cost hardly anything now days.

@kayler the EFI works fine on my end after I remove a few devices. I've been saturated all of my PCIE lanes and that causes some issues which need further investigation. Try using another Memory driver instead of OCquirks to see if it works for you. Each system config, even though having the same board, will have slight different memory alocation. 

If you have a lot of USB problem, I suggest you remove all of USB patches and add them in again. Open the config plist file and remove ALL usb port limit patches then add the following back to the file: 

 

Line 1: 

Name*: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily
Find*: 83FB0F0F
Replace*: 83FB3F0F

 

Line 2

Name* com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI
Find*: 83F90F0F
Replace*: 83F93F0F

 

Then double check the DSDT patch to see if it's correct on yours.

Thank you, I tried with this configuration - all as before, usb ports don't work. (power is available on chargers, but the mouse and keyboard do not respond).
I haven't other gpu, only i9600k with HD630 + LGTV. 
(only I didn't sign out iCloud).
everything is OK, I will stay on my settings for the moment

Hello. My build is installed and stable. I would like to control the cpu fan speed because it is really quiet on windows but is not on macos. run 2000 rpm all time. Where can I give good information for an automactic fan speed control. Are you referring to case or CPU fans and why isn’t the bios controlling the speeds or why don’t you have your own curve setup for them via the bios?

No problem buddy, I’m fully under water including my 5700xt too, the 5700xt has zero effect on my loop even after hours and hours of full on stress on it. 
 

I guess the Radeon VII must kick out a lot of waisted energy/heat.

 

@hansik I love a good custom loop, show me a pic of your build please and let me admire.

Yes you right, more power more heat. I tried to change  but I need to find a youtube tutorial; I cant find the fan name of the water on smart fan control of the bios. the bios havent give me the speed fan of the cooling. I just see cpu and box fan. But I suppose its normal; If you cna screen me you smart graph of the gpu/water/ pump cooling. should be interessant for me. to understand. 

its not really beauty but i will try do pictures later. the box is amazing for his price.  :d

Awesome Buddy. I got to ask though.....What is with the amount of thermal paste your using? Blimey oh Riley brother that's one hell of a lot of paste. When I use paste I do the pea size dot method myself unless I'm using thermal grizzly and then in that case I do a thin spreaded layer. Nothing wrong with to much paste mind you as too much is way better then not enough.

Awesome build though buddy and just ignore me as its one of my main jobs doing builds for displays and shows and boy am I a fussy git about it all..haha

Ok i just look your method on yt, its just a joke for some fapfap boy. I used Gelid pasta all time. always do this method; little more pasta and a good pressure do the rest.  haha
