don’t use the masters Bluetooth and WiFi card bro, get a new pcie one, where you might h able to get it to work it’s still gonna cause problems for you.

@mazagngy are you using the EFI from this thread or my Z390 Master thread?

if you using the EFI from here then start again using my Z390 Master EFI that you can find on my Z390 Master thread here.

Im using all our setup and works awesome, but I have a question, what can I do to enter in bios? after boot my machine I see the logo and nothing more until reach the desktop login.

Also if I press f2 to enter in bios I see black screen.

The only issue is when wakeup from sleep I need to replug my welkin usb to get bluetooth working again.

Also, can I delete all of this patch below than 10.15?

hs14 is disabled via the dsdt as standard would need to edit the dsdt to enable it fully.

just to add my 2 pence here, I disagree with the above method as where it does work your also creating problems for the kernel. I totally don’t advise what your doing, it won’t break anything but like I said above it creates problems. Your machine and your choices bud but my advise stands the same as before.

don’t remove anything like that from my EFI Buddy. It’s not used if it’s not needed but just leave it be to be safe.

I think you can add an argument inside clover with uia_include=hs14 but wait for an expert to tell you.

yeah that might work as it goes, you can try that but the dsdt may not allow it so you may still need to edit it.

if you ask @texem nicely and he’s not busy he might be able to do it for you.

otherwise MaLD0n.

try doing what @c1ru suggested first of all and see if it works for you.

Can I change VirtualSMC inside kext-other to fakesmc in order to use hardware monitor?

You can but I wouldn’t personally. You can install the additional kexts needed for virtualsmc to make it work too.

download the latest version of VirtualSMC and take the additional kexts from it you need to make hardware monitor work.

Hey mate, I haven’t tested it yet as I have a deadline for an iOS app and interrupting my flow will kick me out of “the zone” :D

If my mind is clear tonight I’ll try if not I’ll try tomorrow early in the morning (Greece time) and report back.

Needless to say that your support and personal effort on this thread is out of this world! Thank you @AudioGod

Do you send apps with a hackintosh ? I send it latest update with my hackintosh without issue, but I don’t know I have save my serial number from this time.

Although where I work we distribute apps using automations on a Mac Mini server, I have also uploaded archives on the App Store successfully with my Hack. I don’t think that changing serial number on your hack will bring any issues to app distribution.

Good morning @AudioGod

I dropped the MemoryAllocation efi file, Cleared NVRAM and configured BIOS again, reboot, and I was getting KPs.

Then I restored it, cleared NVRAM and reboot. I am running the Hackintosh for about 2 hours no bluetooth issues yet EXCEPT that now I cannot enable the Unlock with Apple Watch (it is loading and then fails) and Continuity does not work (e.g. When opening a link on Safari on my iPad or iPhone the Continuity Safari icon does not appear on the dock).

This is very weird.

How totally weird that MemoryAllocation is effecting your combo card.

i have no such problems on mine and your the first report of anything like this, hmmmmm

Have you tried using or not using airportfixup and see if it helps?

also On a different note I have never once managed to get my watch to unlock my hack and I’ve tried everything to make it work, that’s a no go for me.

sign out of your iCloud and back in to it and that should kick back in everything.

I 've tried Signing in and out of iCloud for Continuity Fixing but with no result :\ AirDrop works fine though. iMessage and Message forwarding also works. It's just continuity and Unlock with Apple Watch.

I will try again removing AirportFixup and let you know. I know that Apple Watch unlocking is junky generally with Original Macs too (was working half the times with my MBP) but the Continuity thing is very weird!

P.S. I like your new Avatar :D

Thank you but She’s no Avatar, She’s my very naughty Cat :hysterical:

I would love my watch to unlock my hack but computer says no every time and yup it’s totally hit and miss on a real Mac too but I would still love it to work for me.

My combo card is ripped straight out of a real MacBook as well so it should work but still computer says no.

I was referring to MemoryAllocation and airportfixup bro, that Efi is a major lifeline for hack stability so if we can find the root of the cause and be able to keep MemoryAllocation.efi in your system that would be ideal for you.

I think that MemoryAllocation efi was (is) not the cause for the Bluetooth Issues. I completely cleared NVRAM this morning, loaded it again and it seems to be working A+ for about 4 hours now. By A-A I mean mouse and keyboard not disconnecting, as it did the previous days. Although I removed the battery from the motherboard the previous days to clear my NVRAM maybe it did not clear thus having the disconnection issues... what can I say, hacks are a mystery for me :D

I removed the BcrmAirPortFixup kext from the EFI and rebooted just now. Will try to see if I can make Continuity Work again, then try to troubleshoot the Apple Watch Unlock. I had it working with your previous EFIs, it will be a pity to lose that functionality, I love it. :D I also had an issue with the bluetooth header cable when I replaced the RX 580 with the Vega, the quality was very bad and the red thin cable was cut from the small connector that goes to the card and I had to solder it. MAYBE the solder is not good, and since I live in a rural area in Greece where there are no electronics stores I am waiting for a free replacement from Fenvi (their support is out of this world) so if I do not resolve now and this is the problem it may be fixed when I change cable.

I like your very naughty cat then! :cat:

I think you getting the watch to work was a fluke....I really hope I’m wrong though and you come back saying hey Audio try this and I do and it works for me. I would be so freaking happy lol

i gave up trying on mine ages ago, I never once managed to get it to work. Everything else to do with the watch like allowing app installs via the watch and anything else is perfect it’s just unlock. ,no EFI of mine has ever worked for me :(

So you are able to activate the checkbox but unlock does not work for you. Just approve actions within apps. I was able to unlock the hack and approve. But now it does not activate at all. It gets stuck on this state: "Turning on..." for a couple of minutes then it is just deselected by itself.

Screenshot 2020-01-13 at 12.40.03 PM.png

UPDATE 1: So I removed the fix up kext and rebooted, nothing, handoff not working

UPDATE 2: So signing out from iCloud and then back in on my iPad seems to have fixed the Handoff - Continuity issue. Now both iPhone and iPad are reporting to Continuity on the Hack's Safari (that's my super legit test lol)

Unlock with watch still not working. I think I am going to re-pair the watch and try again.

UPDATE 3: Bluetooth DisconnectoGATE returned. I do not know if it is related to removing Airport Fixup, so I put it back in the EFI. I do not know whether this is the reason or not. I connected my USB mouse and run Bluetooth Explorer which gave me some errors that I think they are related to USB. Can you have a look at the image @AudioGod?

I am beginning to think that there could be two possible causes:

1. The cable solder is not good

2. The Vega is drawing too much energy and my poor CX650 cannot handle.
